Project Idea: Marching Band Page Layouts

Got band photos? Or concert photos? Or anything music-related? Bingo. This 2-page spread layout rocks in all sorts of ways. It features beautiful colors, it showcases 7 photos (…seven!) and it’s totally flexible as far as what theme it can become with a simple title change. Enjoy!

To create it, you’ll need:

NOTE: Lay both white pages side by side with staples toward each other before working on the following steps.

Step 1: Adhere full sheet of mint green patterned paper to the right page.

Step 2: Using the teal patterned paper, cut two strips to measure ½” x 12”. Adhere one along the far left side of the left page, and one along the far right side of the right page.

Step 3: Cut two pieces of yellow cardstock to measure 6-1/5” x 4-1/2” to create photo mats. Adhere one to the lower center of each page as shown.

Step 4: Using Border Maker System with Music Notes Cartridge, punch along entire edge of 12″ black cardstock, then trim punched edge to create a strip that measures 1-1/4” wide.

Step 5: Repeat Step 4, forming a second black punched strip.

Step 6: Cut two strips of yellow cardstock to measure 12” x 1”. Adhere on the back side of the black punched border using the mini tape runner.

Step 7: Cut each border to measure 6-1/2” long.  Adhere just above the yellow cardstock mats as shown, using foam squares.

Step 8: Cut two mats from black cardstock to measure 4-1/2” x 6-1/2”. Adhere one yellow dotted Slide-in card (from Be Bold & Flourish) to the center of each black cardstock mat.  Adhere one to lower left of left page, and one to lower right of right page.

Step 9: Cut two strips from black & white polka dot patterned paper to measure 6-1/2” x ½”. Adhere just above the music note borders.

Step 10: Cut two mats from black cardstock to measure 4”x 4”. Adhere just above the polka dotted paper strips.

Step 11: Cut two mats from yellow cardstock to measure 4” x 6”. Adhere along the top outside corners of each page as shown.

Step 12: Apply the Black ABC/123 Stickers to the layout. Using the mini tape runner, adhere the punched music notes along the sides of the title.

Step 13: Adhere photos to the photo mats. You will need photos cut to the following: (2) 6” x 4”, (2) 5-1/2” x 3-1/2”, (2) 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”, and (1) 3-1/2” x 5-1/2”.
