You can use the sampler with an easel on your mantle as I did, or it would also be great on your old Creative Memories Everyday Display.  After the holidays are over, use the sampler as a title page for your annual Christmas album or cut it apart into three vertical panels to use as borders on scrapbook pages.

Meet Us Monday: Tara Dickinson

Tara Dickinson is an Illustrator and Graphic Designer for Creative Memories, beer snob, kitty lover and can eat more pancakes and pizza in one sitting than you can imagine.

Going into her second semester at St. Cloud State University in 2007 Tara decided to make a seemingly impractical career choice and pursue a BFA in graphic arts. Her talents got her in the door with an internship in her final semester of college with CM. She was then officially hired on as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator in the spring of 2011. She then stayed on board until 2013. After that Tara went on to work a short stint in Advertising. The agency was a great experience and she was able to expand her knowledge and skills, but she missed the creative freedom from her former illustrative job. Luckily for her she got an early Christmas gift and was called back to work for Creative Memories mid December of 2015.

December Diary: Scrapbook Your Memories and Traditions

December is a BIG month in so many ways.  For most of the month much of North America celebrates the holiday season.  The memories and traditions are different for each of us. Some of us drink eggnog, while others sip hot chocolate by the fire while singing Christmas carols with the family.

How would you like to capture those memories and traditions this December for your family to look back on for many years to come?

Maybe you bake a certain cookie, in which the recipe was passed down from Aunt Betty, or you hang an ornament on the tree that was given to your grandmother by your grandfather the first year they were married. Documenting those important facts not only benefits you, but the generations to come.  Your family will appreciate those documented tid-bits year after year when you pull out your December Diary to display as part of your holiday decor.

Create Borders using Christmas Past

The Christmas Past Collection recalls the tradition of holidays spent with family. The sounds, smells and feelings of the season evoke nostalgia for the warmth of gathering with those you love, all through your lives.

The new Christmas Past Collection will bring you back, connecting Christmases past with present, reminding you of the traditions that connect your family through the years.

These borders will work well with any Christmas photos you want to remember and feature in your albums.

These borders work perfectly with the pre-designed pages of the Christmas Past Fast2Fab Album and are a fun way to add a personal touch.

Home Decor: Create a DIY Rolled Paper Wreath

When I saw the Painted Harvest Collection I thought of the warmness it exuded.

That warm, fuzzy, comfy feeling of home.

Immediately, I had to create something for my home decor.

I wanted to duplicate the paper wreath in which I created for the current catalog using the Cool Serenity Collection.

Baking All Dressed Up!

Today I want to share with you how I took some baking and dressed it up to be an adorable little welcome home gift for my grandmother!

img_7904

I absolutely love baking – but the problem is that I’m the only one in my house who really loves eating yummy baked goods. If I bake a cake, it means I’m eating almost a whole cake to my self. So, how I stop myself from eating too many cakes all to myself is I bake cupcakes or split my batter into smaller cake tins so that I can gift some of my baking!
