Painted Harvest Holiday Cards

What’s a girl to do when she loves a product collection so much that she just can’t get enough? Make holiday cards with it, that’s what!

Painted Harvest is just stunning with its bright colours and beautiful patterns. It would be a shame to pack it away after creating autumn layouts. The designer paper pack is incredibly versatile and works wonderfully in some fun and funky holiday cards.

To create our cards you’ll need the following supplies:

Instructions:

Cut a Brown Cardstock card base to measure 4-1/4″ X 5-1/2″ (8-1/2″ X 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″). Cut a Royal Blue Cardstock mat to measure 4-1/8″ X 5-3/8″. Cut a Painted Harvest Patterned card layer to measure 4″ X 5-1/4″. Adhere these layers together with even borders around all four sides and then set off to the side.

To create your tree simply cut a triangle out of Royal Blue Cardstock using your 12-inch Paper Trimmer. Use scissors to free-hand cut a trunk for your tree using Brown Cardstock. Then use the smallest circle in the Circle Patterns for the Custom Cutting System along with the Blue Blade and cut some circles using papers from the Painted Harvest collection that have blue tones or accents in them. Next use the same papers and punch a few times using the Bubbles Cartridge from the Border Maker System. Use the circles cut and punched out to decorate the tree. Add rhinestones to bring some shine and sparkle to your holiday card!

To create the tree you will again cut a triangle out of the Royal Blue Cardstock and a trunk from Brown Cardstock using your scissors. To create the tree decoration, you will punch several snowflakes using the same blue toned/accented patterned paper from the Painted Harvest collection. You will then layer the snowflakes until you feel that the tree is sufficiently covered. Next use rhinestones to decorate your beautiful tree!
