Digital Scrapbooking Layouts using Mi Amor Digital Kit

The Digital Mi Amor kit isn’t just for Valentines!  It can be used for many different themed photos throughout the year, love, wedding, couples, travel, prom and VALENTINES!

Wedding

Weddings are wonderful place for LOVE/AMOUR!  Mi Amor with all of its sweet embellishments works so beautifully with wedding photos.  I changed my photos to black and white so they would blend nicely with the rich reds in this collection.  I changed the title from black to white and matted each of the photos in white to coordinate and then added a shadow to all elements to make them pop!

Travel

I love blending my background photo into the paper background and then add a few of the sweet heart embellishments in this collection.  As for the white hearts I changed the opacity so that the hearts looked like vellum.

Travel photos work well with Mi Amor.   To make my journaling more visible and stand out on the background paper I added a white rectangle and changed the opacity.    From Paris to Vegas or Paris in Vegas…

Valentine’s Day

And of course Mi Amor is perfect for LOVE day photos!  One of my favourite embellishments is the sweet envelope and the wonderful advantage to digital is you can make this envelope as large or as small as you like.  I added embellishments and cut them along the bottom to make them look like they are popping out of the envelope.  I then added a heavy shadow.

Happy LOVE Day!

  1. Beth, these layouts are scrumptious! I am so happy to other ideas besides just Valentine or wedding possibilities. :-) Thank you for that.
I would love to have a tutorial on how you “faded” the photo in “Vegas, Baby!” , and how you blended the two backgrounds. Please? That kind of look really appeals to me, but I don’t have any idea how to do it. I usually work with PSE15. Thanks again!

    1. Hi Barb,
I am sorry I missed answering this. I am not sure how much help I am because I use Artisan to design with. In that software you use the cut tool and then the blend tool. So I cut my photo using the blend tool and the paper shows through. If you search online you maybe able to find a tutorial to explain this in PSE. Thank you!
