A gem is a precious or unique stone which can be used in jewelry.
In this case, it is precious and can be used on your scrapbooking layouts.
The way I see it, scrapbooking layouts equate to jewelry. Each unique in their own way.
Not sure about you, but there are times when I am creating that things just fall together. This is one of those times. When I looked at the diamond shaped Custom Cutting System pattern I was trying to envision a flower. So, I just cut out several of the shapes until it all came together.
I do have to say that creating this layout will require Repositionable Adhesive. You will want your diamond shapes to be flexible until you have them placed exactly where you want them. Once you have the entire flower shape created, you will adhere it to the layout using your Tape Runner.

Hello everybody! Today, I am sharing a layout using the Royal Blue and Cranberry Mix & Match Designer Paper and Flower Embellishments. I know that the 4th of July has come and gone, but I love this photo too much to not scrap it.
The morning of the 4th of July, Edward and I arrived to my sister Jamie’s house to help her set up since she was hosting the 4th of July party. Naturally, she and I took a selfie as we poured ourselves a glass of Mimosa.
My sister texts Jamie after she see’s the selfie and was like, “what is she wearing!” (that would be me). We bought the same shirt at Target to wear and it totally wasn’t planned. She showed up an hour later with a different version of my shirt. Well, our shirt. LOL, she took a pair of scissors to make herself a v-neck and trimmed the edges of her sleeves. I am not sure why she just didn’t cut the shirt in half across the middle while she was at it, but we had a good laugh!

I am a traditional scrapbooker as well as a digital designer and two of my favourite embellishments are flowers and gems when I am scrapping traditionally. So… you can only imagine my delight when the Mix & Match Digital Kits were introduced…and in so many beautiful colours!!!
I love layering different flower combinations along with the gems and the HUGE benefit when scrapping digitally is you never run out of your favourites because the supply is endless! I am going to share a few pages I designed to show you different colour combinations and ways to decorate your pages with these “little gems”.

One of the greatest things about scrapbooking is that it cannot be done wrong. The way one person scrapbooks is bound to differ from the way the next person does — and that’s okay! The options for exercising your creativity are endless, and if by the end of the album you’ve saved your memories and shared your story, then your efforts were a success!
Today I want to share with you two of my favourite ways of scrapbooking. The first is a more traditional method and the second is fun and sometimes quicker method of saving memories. I’ve used the same photos on each layout and I’ve used the same collection for both layouts. No matter how you prefer to scrapbook I hope these give you some new ideas and maybe encourages you to try something new and different!

Hello scrappers! I am so excited to be here today. When I first saw the Slice of Summer Papers and stickers, I wanted them right away! I love the color pallet and fun stickers and I had just the right photos in mind for the adorable paddle board and paddle.
A few summers ago, my family and I went away on vacation. One morning, Matt and the girls wanted to give paddle boarding a try. I was thinking about it, but once we got there and I saw it first hand, I had no interest to do that to myself. LOL, I think they didn’t realize how much work it would involve.

I feel the need to give you a little history of me. I love to create cards and mini albums but I had a mental block with scrapbooking I could not get rid of. I wanted to scrapbook the numerous photos I have at home but I always felt like I would do it wrong. I was afraid of someone pointing out everything that I shouldn’t do on a layout. Not sure how I broke the mental block but it is gone forever!! I realized the pages I create are for me and my family to enjoy, it’s not like I am publishing them for the world to see…oh wait! I am!! I believe my style of scrapbooking is far from traditional but I am always happy with the result. I hope you enjoy the layout I made of my great nephew Bannon.

Upon flipping my calendar to today, I realized it is one of the SWEETEST days of the year.
National Chocolate Day.
Need I say more?
This prompted me to run out and buy some……wait for it……CHOCOLATE!!!
Are you like me, and always looking to bless someone with a sweet little treat every now and again?

I have always been the type of kid that would rather sit and chat at the adult table than play with the other kids. Their conversation was usually much more interesting. Looking back, I was most likely the annoying one that would always try and give her intellectual opinions on some pretty deep subjects. So when my mom asked if I would want to go to “Scrap Camp” with her, my aunt, and their friends; I was in.
Yes, I am wearing an afro while eating snacks. Things got pretty wild.

Right now it is a mere 98 degrees here in Minnesota. It’s not always cold here. We do get the heat occasionally, and with that comes the humidity, and then the “feels like” temperature goes up even more.
With there being 10,000 lakes here usually the place to cool off is in the lake. However, for Advisor Beth Thomander and her family of Nova Scotia Canada, cooling off means a jump in the pool. That just sounds refreshing right about now.
How do you beat the heat?
