I love family time. It is the best warm and fuzzy feeling there is. I am sure that you have seen these family photos of mine on many projects, but let me share the story.
It was a fall day in 2011. My oldest son was a senior in high school. This mamma bear was on a mission to have fun family photos taken before the birdie left the nest. At this point my boys were so tired of me sticking a camera in their face, so I was feeling “iffy” about how the day might go.
To my surprise, it was the funnest day our family had had in a long time. We smiled, and laughed, and were just plain silly. So, if you have seen some of the silly ones—this is why. We actually got in the car to head home, and they both commented about how much FUN that photo shoot was.
So, find yourself a FUN-loving photographer who will let your family be yourselves—-and capture those memories…..before the nest is empty.
To create this layout, you will need:
- Countryside Comfort Paper Pack

Cut 3 pieces of paper to measure 4-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. Cluster together on the center of the layout and adhere.
Adhere stickers and embellishments to the layout. Use Foam Squares with some to add dimension to the layout.
Add photos and journal as desired.

Very pretty and 3 photos, too! I already ordered the paper pack, picket fence punch and orange letters…now you are “forcing” me to get the stickers, vellum, and die cut sentiments! Thanks!
You really won’t regret it! They are all so usable! -melissa
Thanks for the great layout! It really shows off your photos perfectly. Can’t wait to use my punch.
Gorgeous page! I love this new Countryside Comfort collection. And, oh boy, did your page bring back memories! My son was also a senior in high school that year, graduated in May. Heading off for Basic Training in June. One of those things I’d been meaning to do with my family forever was a bike ride around the great bike path in our town that goes for miles and follows the river. So the day before my son was to leave, I packed the kids and hubby and bikes and headed for the bike path — which was flooded by all the rain we’d had that spring. Not deterred, I insisted we ride anyway — through the water! The kids thought I was absolutely insane (well, I was! My kid was leaving for the Army the next day! Of course I was insane!) But to this day all we have to say is “bike ride”, and we all groan, roll our eyes, and laugh. Thanks for the lovely page — and the memories!
Oh Ruth–I love that story! Thank you for sharing it! And, thank you to your son for serving our country! -melissa
Very nice design. Love how you used that punch!
