3 Ways To Use Washi Tape

Washi Tape.

Woohoo.  WASHI TAPE!

It is now part of the Creative Memories line.

Our first offering is part of our Toil & Trouble Collection.  Although it might be included in the Halloween line, the designs are in no way themed for the holiday.  The colors are bright and can be added to any card flaps to put a finishing touch on your mail.

In fact, add washi tape to ANYTHING for fun!  Why not, when you have 26.2 feet on each roll?  That means you get over 104 feet between these four rolls.

Most importantly it is photo-safe!

Today I am sharing with you 3 ways to “washi”.

Create a card by just tearing a few strips.

To create this card, you will need:

Cut a piece of Orange Cardstock to measure 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.  Fold in half to create the card base.

Cut a piece of the white patterned paper to measure 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere to the front of the card.

Tear strips of washi tape, adhering to the front of the card.

Adhere stickers with Foam Squares.

** Once you place the card into an envelope, add a piece or two of torn washi tape and a sticker for a fun touch.

Adhere strips of washi tape to the top of White Cardstock.

Use Custom Cutting System with Circle Patterns to cut out varying sizes of circles.

Adhere the circles along the far left edge and lower section of the layout.

Use 12″ Straight Trimmer to trim away any excess hanging off the edge of the cardstock.

Cut two pieces of Black Cardstock to measure 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″.  Adhere to the layout.

Adhere stickers to the layout, using Foam Squares on some for dimension.

Add photos (3″ x 5″) to the photo mats, and journal as desired.

  1. I used the CM washi tape today to adhere a graduation tassel to the page! So it can also be used to adhere otherwise unwieldy objects to our pages with flashes of color! Salts Torrey, Buckley, WA

  2. I’ve never used this stuff, but I love the idea of the circles. Brilliant, Melissa! Can’t wait to give it a try!
