Hi everybody! I’ve been playing with a new tool and the Adventure Designer Paper Pack, Adventure Designer Sticker Pack and the Variety Mat Pack. Believe it or not, these photos were from Easter Sunday. Every year, when we visit my husband’s side of the family, Edward likes to go down to the stream to play in the water. He has been doing this for the past four years. And every year, I forget to take a change of clothes for him to change into after he falls and gets himself wet. Note to self: Pack extra clothes this Easter.
To complete this 12×12 scrapbooking layout, you will need:
- Adventure Designer Paper Pack
- Adventure Designer Sticker Pack
- Adventure Variety Mat Pack
- 12-inch Straight Trimmer
- Personal Trimmer
- Black Dual-Tip Pen
- Foam Squares
- Tape Runner
- Jagged Tearing Tool
To begin, I used the Rock patterned paper as my base. Then I cut the plaid patterned paper down to 11″x11″ using the 12-inch Straight Trimmer. I kept the two strips and put them aside.
I gathered a few mats and used the Paper Tearing Tool to tear the bottoms. Then I grabbed the two strips and very carefully, used the Paper Tearing Tool to create a fun border for the bottom of the layout. I wrinkled the paper slightly to add dimension to the layout. Once I was satisfied with the torn edges, I used a Tape Runner to adhere the strips to the bottom of the layout.
I adhered the “A Wild Adventure” variety mat approximately 1″ from the top edge of the plaid patterned paper and centered it. I tucked the torn mats behind the plaid mat so that it peeked through the bottom of the mat.
I cropped the photo so it would fit within the log frame of the mat. Then I tucked a big tree sticker slightly behind the photo and another one overlapping the larger tree using a Foam Square.
Here is a closer look at the fun border I created using the Paper Tearing Tool. I wrinkled the plaid strip so it would add a bit of texture. I love how this looks.
I used the personal trimmer to crop another photo down to 2″2″ then matted it using a scrap piece of patterned paper.
To complete the layout, I added a few more stickers and hand-written journaling at the bottom right-side of the layout.
Notice how the photos blend so nicely with the rock patterned paper? This collection was a perfect match for the photos. What do you think?
Thanks so much for visiting today!
I think it’s perfect!
Would love to see the 2nd page..I think the issues are always layout ideas. I love seeing the paper packs and the one page layouts folks use but would love to see a 2nd page. Can you post 2nd page. Love the 1st page…
So so pretty. Gonna lift this one
I love these, but all these products are in going, going, gone. Hate to promote it too much for that reason.
SOOO glad they brought back the tearing tool!! (mine disappeared several years ago!) Tearing on pages is quick and easy and embellishments make tearing look classy or rugged!!!
I so appreciate your ideas. CM and the designers are what make this company so great. Ideas are what inspires us to buy and share your ideas. Keep up the great work.
Thank you so much Virginia!!
BEAUTIFUL
Really cute, but the stickers are not available to purchase. Or are they and I’m just not seeing them?
So disappointed! This just came out yesterday, and already the stickers are apparently not available!
