On the 8th Day of Cropping…

Creative-Memories-12-Days-Of-Cropping

On the 8th Day of Cropping, Creative Memories gave to me an idea showing eight photographs…

Some days it’s just tough to get all the photos on one single layout. So, here is a spread showing 8 photographs!

Layout created by Michelle Pastoor – Advisor

To create this layout, you will need:

Use the White Cardstock as the base for this layout.

Cut the pink and purple striped border from the patterned paper with the border strips on it.

Trim approximately 3/4″ from the top of the “Merry & Bright” mat  for the title.

Cut a piece from the purple patterned paper to measure 5″ x1 2”.

From the light patterned paper, cut at 4 1/2” to give you two pieces – One 4-1/2″ x 12″ and the other 7-1/2″ x 12″.

Take a 12” piece of White Cardstock and using the tearing tool, tear the strip in half. The piece used in this layout was approximately 2” wide in order to give enough room to grab onto the paper. Adhere these torn pieces to one edge of each of the two pieces of the light patterned paper.

Adhere the piece of purple patterned paper to the far right side of the right layout. Then adhere the larger piece of the light patterned paper, slightly overlapping the purple patterned paper.

On the left side of the spread, adhere the smaller piece of light patterned paper to the right side of the layout. Adhere the striped border strip, tucking it just under the torn edge.

Adhere the title mat to the upper left hand corner of the left layout.

Add your photos,  (5) 4″ x 6” photos and (3) 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. This layout has the photos matted slightly with Eggplant Cardstock.

Create a journal box with White Cardstock, that measures approximately 1-1/4″ x 4-1/4″, matted slightly with Eggplant Cardstock.

Add embellishments as desired, using foam squares on some for dimension.

  1. Love the dark, contrasting mats on the layout. It makes the photos pop against the pastel background. <3

  2. This is my kind or scrapbooking – lots of photos with embellishments but the photos taking center stage. Thank you so much for. Layout I will definately use. Liked the photo mounting to make the photos stand out.

    1. I agree with Ruth, great layout that can be used for most anything. Most photos aren’t cropped small and they are the focus. This is how most of my customers like to do pages. We will be using this layout a lot!

  3. I agree! Love the photos being the focal point! The embellishments are perfect, and the layout is lovely!
