On the 10th Day of Cropping…

Creative-Memories-12-Days-Of-Cropping

On the 10th Day of Cropping, Creative Memories gave to me an idea with 10 photographs…

… and a Holly Border as well!

Layout created by Krislyn Mattei- Advisor

Start with a piece of black dot paper as the base of the layout.

Cut a 2-1/2″ x 12″ strip of black and white striped paper for the base of the border. Cut a 1-3/4″ x 12″ strip of red with white dot paper and apply on top of the base.

Punch a strip of holly from both Black Cardstock and green (Gallivant) paper. Add to border, overlapping slightly to create a shadow effect.

Using the Teardrop Lattice Border Punch, punch a border with White Cardstock. Cut it in half lengthwise and adhere each teardrop edge behind the edges of the border as shown. (Repositionable adhesive works great for this!) Adhere the border to the left side of the layout.

Trim nine photos to 2″ x 2″. Mat them on 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ squares, 5 on White Cardstock and 4 on green paper.

Crop one photo to 7″ x 3-3/4″. Mat on a 7-1/4″ x 4″ piece of White Cardstock and then on a 7-3/4″ x 4-1/2″ piece of red with white dot paper.

Adhere all photos as shown, making three rows of three photos each, separated by the one large photo.

Mount the “Believe” embellishment to the large photo with Foam Squares.

Use the photo below as a guide to create a coordinating 2-page spread if desired.

  1. Beautiful. You put lots of photos and embellishments so cleverly..Does not look crowded and tells the story so well.

  2. I love the idea of using the black dot paper for the background! Ten photos on the page AND a border to boot! LOVE IT!
