Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I wanted to share a couple of my loves with you using the Bee Mine Digital Kit. My first page is featuring the love of my life and the fun embellishments in this kit.
I love using one of my photos enlarged for the background. Sometimes I soften the photo by changing the opacity. In this case I didn’t change the opacity but I softened the edges.
I used the edge filter with the soften edge on the background photo. You can soften as much or as little as you like. For the striped heart I added a softened 3D edge to give it a puffy look.
For the two outline hearts I put a 3D filter on each one and then I added sparkle. To add the sparkle in the software I use I chose a surface filter and then chose texture and turned the amplification up as high as I could. Repeat the process to give it more sparkle.
My next digital scrapbook page is nature up and close with my macro lens. The sweet bee embellishments were a perfect play on words for my bee photos.
For the flag banner I chose the yellow flag border and then changed to pink so it would pop from the paper behind it. I then layered the XOXO border over it and off set it a bit to give the layered look.
Here I resized and layered the two large hearts. For the pink one I added a 3D edge to give dimension.
To give the bee a feeling of movement on the page I added a dotted swirly line. I changed the color to blue to match the dotted line on the Bee Mine embellishment.
Have fun playing with this Bee Mine Kit with all of the adorable embellishments!
Love the layout and love the specific directions on how to achieve it!!!
Thanks Debra! So many fun techniques to try in digital!
These are wonderful, Beth! Your macro photos are amazing. Thanks for the great ideas. I haven’t scrapped (hands on or digitally) for a couple of months. I need to get back to it. These really inspire! Thank you. <3
Thanks Barb! I love my macro lens! Happy to hear my pages inspire you!
Love these layouts and the beautiful pictures. Being honey beekeepers, I can appreciate the bees. Thanks for sharing. (Can you edit the page? You’re missing “how’ in your journaling.)
Thank you Marianne! I love taking photos of bees! And thank you for catching the typo! I have fixed it and thankfully I haven’t printed it yet!
