It’s our first #ThrowbackThursday on the blog! We provided one of our fabulous blog contributors, Meggan, with a sketch that we created for the Sorbet collection and asked her to re-create it using the Full Bloom collection and make it uniquely hers! Want to see? Take a look!

Cody is my third, and youngest, child. As he progressed from baby to toddlerhood, he sprouted this delightful mop of blonde curls that I was very reluctant to have cut as I was fairly certain that they would never return once chopped off. A few months before his third birthday, the time came for his first haircut. To preserve those curls forever, I took him out for a photo shoot at a local park. These portraits were just waiting for a colorful collection like Full Bloom to be scrapbooked to their full potential.
The inspiration sketch is a very versatile layout option – all of my photos were vertical, so I simply rotated the pages 90 degrees and the results are perfect! If you have a mix of vertical and horizontal photos, just rotate one page of the layout 90 degrees – one page will hold horizontal pictures and the other vertical ones.
In addition to using stickers from the Full Bloom collection, I also used the Dewdrop Flower Punch and a pair of scissors to make some fun accents for the page.
To create this 12×12 scrapbooking layout, you will need:
- Full Bloom Paper Pack
- Full Bloom Stickers
- White Cardstock
- Beige Cardstock
- Dewdrop Flower Punch
- 12-inch Straight Trimmer
- Tape Runner
- Scissors
- Black Dual-Tip Pen
Step 1: Use Beige Cardstock as the base of both sides of the spread.
Step 2: Cut 12 pieces from Designer Paper to measure 2-3/4″ x 3-3/4″.
Step 3: Cut six pieces from Designer Paper to measure 5-3/4″ x 3-3/4″.
Step 4: Adhere all of the pieces to the spread, following the sketch.
Step 5: Adhere six photos to measure 5-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ to the spread.
Step 6: Trim and adhere two photos to measure 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″.
Step 7: Trim and adhere four pieces of White Cardstock to measure 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″.
Step 8: Adhere Stickers and Embellishments to the spread as desired.
Step 9: Journal using a Black Dual-Tip Pen.
– Instructions for Dewdrop Flower Punch Accents –
Using the Dewdrop Flower Punch, punch a few flowers from various pieces of paper.
- Tab: Using scissors or the Personal Trimmer, cut off the right and left sides of the flower, leaving the center “body” of the flower for the tab.
- Buttercup Sticker: Cut a dewdrop flower in half. Adhere one half to above and one half to below the sticker.

I really like this layout..I frequently see so much emphasis in the papers and accessories that the pictures get lost. In this one..the pictures are the main focus…not the paper. The paper acts as an accent…well done!

Love the Sorbet layout it is one of my favorites. The colors of Full Bloom lends its self to school, celebration layouts. I have been excited to get my Locally Grown paper, I know it’s perfect for this layout!
