Full Bloom Layout (for Boys!) Using the Arrow Border Maker

It’s the moment we have been waiting for – the first day of spring! To celebrate, we’ve got a fun scrapbook layout that blog contributor Meggan created using Full Bloom and Textiles with the Arrow Border Maker Cartridge. And, want to know what you’re really going to love? It works perfectly for boys, girls, nature and more! Interested?

I love the colors and textures of the Full Bloom collection, but as a mom to two boys and one tomboy, I was determined to utilize the collection beyond gardens and girls. And, I found inspiration in the stickers!

The “You’re stuck with me” prickly pear cactus sticker called out to me – as a former Arizonan now living in the Pacific Northwest, I love working cactus elements into my life wherever I can. The play on words with the hand-drawn illustration is adorable and the sentiment made me instantly think of my three-year-old, momma-loving toddler, Cody.  He and I take quite a few selfies together. Cody LOVES to see himself on the camera and it is one of the few ways I manage to make it into any of our family pictures. So, with a mere sticker for inspiration, I set out to create a layout that would showcase a few of our selfies and the fact that he is stuck with me (and I with him!).

Step 4: Using the Precision Point Adhesive Pen, place five arrows along the top of the paper, leaving about ¼” at the top and approximately 1″ on the right side of the paper.

Step 5: Adhere two arrows pointing downwards, starting about 1″ from top of the paper and stopping with the second arrow at about 5-1/2″ from the top of the paper.

Step 6: Adhere five arrows across the middle of the page, starting about 1″ from the right Tip: Use the 12-inch Trimmer as a ruler to help keep the arrows right at 6 inches.

Step 7: Adhere two arrows on the left side of the paper, starting at approximately 6-3/4″ from the top.

Step 8: Lastly, adhere five arrows at the bottom of the page.

Step 9: Use the Tape Runner to adhere the mats to the spaces between the arrows, three on top and three on the bottom. Then, adhere your photos to the mats.

Step 10: Use the stickers to embellish as desired! Tip: I used two small coral-colored flowers and layered them on the cactus on the “You’re stuck with me” sticker. Prickly pear cacti produce a beautiful flower each spring and I love the added detail to the sticker!
