Although there are a lot of layers to it, this Mix & Match layout is actually pretty simple to complete. Read on to learn how you can bring your summer scrapbook to life!
To create this two-page layout you’ll need:
- Mix & Match Orange, Blue, Yellow, Green and Pink Paper Packs and Embellishments
- White Cardstock
- White Serif ABC/123 Stickers
- Flower Child Border Punch
- Original Border Maker System with Butterflies Border Maker Cartridge
- 12-inch Straight Trimmer
- All-Purpose Scissors
- Tape Runner with Repositionable Tape Runner Refill
- Foam Squares
- Black Dual-Tip Pen
Step 1: Use two pieces of White Cardstock as the base for this two-page layout.
Step 2: Cut two pieces of pink patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1″. Then, cut another two pieces to measure 12″ x 4″.
Step 3: Cut two pieces of blue patterned paper to measure 12″ x 4″.
Step 4: Cut two pieces of green patterned paper to measure 12″ x 4″. Use the Border Maker System and the Butterflies Border Maker Cartridge to punch a border into each piece of green paper.
Step 5: Take the 12″ x 1″ pieces of pink patterned paper and adhere with Repositionable Tape behind the butterflies on each piece of green patterned paper. Adhere this piece to the bottom of each page.
Step 6: Next, adhere the blue pieces of paper to the center of each page and the pink pieces to the upper part of each page.
Step 7: Cut two pieces of yellow patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1″, then cut another two pieces to measure 12″ x 1/4″. Adhere the 1/4″ strips to the upper edge of each page and the 1″ strips to the lower edge of each page.
Step 8: Using the Flower Child Border Punch, punch two borders with orange patterned paper. Adhere these borders to the lower part of each page.
Step 9: Cut several strips of different colors of the Mix & Match collection for the banners. You will want to cut varying widths (1″ to 1-3/4″) and lengths (2″ to 3-1/2″). To create the banners, gently fold one end and use scissors to cut at an angle for the “v”. Adhere to the upper part of each page.
Step 10: Using the Custom Cutting System, the Circle Patterns and yellow patterned paper, cut four circles with the Red Blade on the inside of the large circle. If you want photos on these circles, use the Green Blade on the inside of the large circle and adhere to the circle mats.
Step 11: To create the larger circles, use the small circle pattern on the outside as follows: the Blue Blade with the green paper, the Green Blade with the yellow paper and the Red Blade with your photos. Adhere the yellow circles to the green circles and then adhere your photos to the yellow circles with Foam Squares.
Step 12: Adhere all the circle pieces to the middle of the two-page layout as shown.
Step 13: Add a title with ABC/123 Stickers and/or journal as desired with a Dual-Tip Pen.
Step 14: Finish your layout by adding flower embellishments stickers and Epoxy Stickers. Make sure to use Foam Squares on some for added dimension.
