Do you ever find yourself running out of room on a page and being unable to fit all of your photos and memories? Peekaboo Pockets™ are one of the best ways to fit more photos on a scrapbook page! These scrapbooking photo pockets are an efficient and effective way to pack your pages with as many photos as you need, layering photographs on top of one another to create a “slideshow” of sorts. With the Peekaboo Pockets™, there’s no more leaving photos off the page due to a lack of room; you can fit everything you want onto the page in an organized, aesthetically pleasing way. Want to see them in action? Check out just how much content can be squeezed into this Maritime two-page layout with Peekaboo Pockets™ below!
To complete this two-page layout, you will need:
- Maritime Paper Pack
- Maritime Variety Mat Pack
- Maritime Stickers
- Peekaboo Pockets™
- Foam Squares
- Tape Runner
- 12-inch Straight Trimmer
- Brown Dual-Tip Pen
Step 1: Use two pieces of blue patterned paper as the base for both sides of the layout.
Step 2: Cut four strips of wood patterned paper to measure 12″ x 2-1/2″. Adhere to the upper and lower parts of each page.
Step 3: Cut two strips of dark blue patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1/2″. Adhere to the lower part of each page.
Step 4: Select three large mats, two vertical (4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″) and one horizontal (6-1/2″ x 4-1/2″), as well as one small horizontal journal mat (6″ x 4″). Adhere to the layout as shown. Then, adhere your photos to these mats. Photo sizes are (2) 4″ x 6″ and (1) 4″ x 4″.
Step 5: Take five horizontal Peekaboo Pockets™ and layer them one after another as shown. Start approximately 1-1/2″ in from the right-hand side of the page and adhere them so they open to the right. Fill these pockets with both mats and photos that measure 6″ x 4″. Learn a few tips about Peekaboo Pockets™ here!
Step 6: Adhere stickers using Foam Squares on some for added dimension. Finish by journaling on the mat with a Brown Dual-Tip Pen.

Sa-weet!!! Awesome solution!
Based on the instructions given, do you recommend not using page protectors on your completed scrapbook pages? If I put a page protector on after the peekaboo pockets are attached to the page, I won’t be able to flip through them. Are the pockets designed so they can adhere onto the outside of page protectors?
Yes, they are, Michelle! Put them directly on top of your page protector. Works great!
Thanks!
Peekaboo pockets have helped me when I found a photo that needed to go with others and i had forgotten it! Add it to the page with the pocket – works great. Of course the planned use of the pockets is best! Ruth
That’s a great solution to use Peekaboo Pockets!
Can’t wait to use the peeka-boo pockets on the pages of my young great-granddaughter’s album with “the many faces of Isabella.” So-o cute!
Thank you CM for this creativity.
