Wreaths are traditionally used in autumn to show a welcoming home and create a pleasant fall aura. They go hand-in-hand with the season, just like the Gather Together collection! Although it is a “scrapbook collection,” you can use Gather Together for all sorts of fun fall crafts! Want to find out how to combine the two and make a beautiful DIY fall wreath project? Read on to learn how!
To create this decorative paper wreath you’ll need:
- Designer Paper Pack – We used the Gather Together Paper Pack
- All-Purpose Scissors
- 12″ Foam Wreath
- Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
We got this idea from our friends at HGTV. View the complete instructions here. Then, check out how we made it using Creative Memories paper!
Step 1: Choose which papers you are going to use for your wreath. All Creative Memories Paper Packs coordinate beautifully with each other!
Step 2: Cut out the leaves for the wreath. Use various patterns and colors to get a variety. We recommend using at least 10 sheets of paper to cut your leaves and adding more as needed depending on how many layers you add. Don’t worry about the leaves being perfectly the same size and shape.
Step 3: Take your leaves and fold them in half lengthwise.
Step 4: Assemble by adhering your leaves to the foam wreath. Add several layers until the whole foam wreath is covered.
Step 5: Hang your decorative paper wreath and enjoy!

Love this! It is this week’s project!
Happy to hear that! :)
Isn’t there a leaf punch you could use?
Hi Sue – You could use a leaf punch, but they might be a little small!
Love it…
Beautiful project idea. Thanks again CM!!
You could use a cricut or other cutting machine, then you could make bigger leaves. Hmmmm.
