#ThrowbackThursday – Graphic Designer Rachel Stars in this Halloween Scrapbook Layout

The Pumpkin Spice collection is all about bringing your favorite Halloween themes to life in a classic, yet original way. Blog contributor Krislyn created a gorgeous layout that features Halloween photos from CM Graphic Designer Rachel’s childhood! This two-page Halloween scrapbook layout is a great way to put your spookiest Halloween photos together and make something that will make you itch to go trick-or-treating again! Check it out, and make sure you read all the way down to the bottom for our exclusive Halloween Q&A session with Rachel!

To create this two-page layout, you will need:

Step 1: Use two sheets of floral patterned paper as your base for the layout. Cut two 3″ x 12″ strips of green ivy patterned paper and adhere to the inside edges of each page as shown.

Step 2: Cut two 9-3/4″ x 9-3/4″ squares of brown plaid patterned paper. Then, cut two 9″ x 9″ pieces of White Cardstock and adhere on top of the plaid pieces. Add to the layout at a slight angle as shown.

Step 3: Crop seven photos to measure 4″ x 4″. Cut two 4″ x 4″ squares of orange plaid patterned paper; top each with a 3″ x 3″ square of White Cardstock (corners rounded). Mount all eight squares in a grid pattern on the large White Cardstock squares.

Step 4: Using the Double Wave Tearing Tool and Black Dual-Tip Pen, doodle wavy lines around three edges of each large white square and the tops of each of the journal boxes.

Step 5: Using the Pumpkins Border Maker Cartridge, punch two borders with orange patterned paper. Trim each to measure 9-3/4″ wide and adhere to the bottom edges of the large brown squares.

Step 6: Journal as desired. Add stickers, some with Foam Squares for added dimension. It’s as easy as that!

Now, as we mentioned above… this layout was created featuring photos of CM Graphic Designer Rachel, and we sat down with her for a Q&A to get her thoughts on Halloween, the Pumpkin Spice collection and more. Check it out!Rachel phooto
