Create a Non-Halloween Fall Scrapbook Layout with Pumpkin Spice

It’s no secret that the Pumpkin Spice collection can create projects that are a total Halloween haven. However, the fall palette and gorgeous stickers make this a great choice for all sorts of layouts and themes. You can use it to bring all your ideas to life, including fall scrapbook projects, Thanksgiving holiday layouts and, as blog contributor Glenda shows, layouts for a family trip! Check out Glenda’s masterpiece below!

Glenda’s Inspiration:

Even though this paper pack is called Pumpkin Spice, I thought I could use it for my pictures from a family trip (not to the pumpkin patch). That is what I love about Creative Memories paper; you can use the same paper pack for a variety of different things. They are so versatile!

Glenda took the sketch above, rotated it and then made it into a two-page spread shown below!

To create this two-page layout, you will need:

Step 1:  Use a piece of patterned paper as the base for the left side of the spread and a piece of White Cardstock for the right side of the spread.

Step 2: For the banners, make the following cuts:

  • Green Paper – (1) – 2″ x 4″ (1) 2-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ (1) 2″ x 3-1/2″
  • Vine Paper – (1) 2″ x 4-1/2″ (1) 2-1/2″ x 4″
  • Brown Plaid – (1) 2-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ (1) 2″ x 4″

To make the banners, fold the ends together and cut from the outside tip to form the points (this makes the sides even).

Step 3: For the mats, make the following cuts:

  • Brown Plaid – (4) 4″ x 6″ (2) 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″
  • Orange Cardstock – (2) 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ (1) 4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″

Step 4: For the strips, make the following cuts:

  • Orange Cardstock – (2) 1/2″ x 12″ (3) 1/2″ x 5-3/4″

Step 5:  Using the On the Vine Punch, punch a border using the vine patterned paper.

Step 6: Adhere five banners evenly down the left side of the spread. Use one of the orange strips to cover the uneven sides of the banners. Then, stagger the three small orange strips at the top for journaling.

Step 7: On the right-hand side of the spread, adhere two banners in the upper right corner. Adhere the 12″ orange strip about 3/4″ from the bottom edge and adhere the vine border on top of it with Repositionable Adhesive.

Step 8: Mat your photos and adhere to the spread as shown. Journal and embellish as desired.

So there you have it! Pumpkin Spice’s palette of autumn colors makes it the perfect option for fall scrapbook layouts and layouts for family trips and anything else that seems aesthetically pleasing to you. What non-Halloween projects have you created with Pumpkin Spice? Comment below!
