instructions

Step 1: Use a piece of Cloud Cardstock as the base of your layout.

Step 2: Cut six strips from multiple patterns of paper to measure 2″ x 8″. Line the six patterned strips across the top of the base; you can repeat some patterns if you desire. Use the Tape Runner to adhere the strips, but do not adhere the bottom half (leave these strips so they are free to move). Place your tearing tool approximately 6″ from the top of the base (horizontally) and tear the papers that hang below the tearing tool. Save the remaining strips as they will be used later.

Step 3: Cut six more strips from different patterns to measure 2″ x 3″. Adhere the strips below the first line of strips, leaving approximately 1″ of the bottom free of adhesive. Place your tearing tool across the strip of patterns to leave about 1″ below the tool and tear the papers below. Then, adhere the previously ripped pieces in Step 2 on top of this layer.

Step 4: Cut a strip from the pink cupcake and hat patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1/4″. Use your Banner Flag Punch to punch out 17 flag banners from the pink and the white patterned paper. Adhere the flag banners across the bottom of the layout, approximately 1″ from the bottom of the base. Adhere the pink strip as shown.

Step 5: Using your Personal Trimmer, crop and mount three 4″ x 4″ photos across the top part of the layout, approximately 2-1/2″ from the top of the base. Punch a banner from a scrap piece of the white patterned paper and adhere it to the photo at the end as shown.

Step 6: Enhance your layout by adding stickers and embellishments, and make sure to use Foam Squares on some for added dimension.

Maybe you aren’t the birthday girl or birthday boy today. Maybe your birthday is still months away. But, when you create festive birthday scrapbook layouts like this one, you can still party like it is your birthday. Speaking of birthdays, we’re curious — how do you celebrate your birthday?
