Step 1: Using the Rainbow Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with plaid patterned paper. Trim to measure 3″ x 12″ to create your base. Cut a 1-3/4″ x 12″ strip of white polka dot patterned paper and adhere on top. Cut a 1/4″ x 12″ strip of pink patterned paper and adhere behind the “dots” in the base.

Step 2: Using the Lace Flower Chain Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with yellow patterned paper. Place in the middle of the white strip.

Step 3: Using the Rainbow Border Maker Cartridge, punch two borders with pink patterned paper, trimming each out with the trimmer at the base of the rainbows to cut apart the top “scallop” shapes. Adhere one just above and one just below the lace flower chain border. Fun find: Look at the cute little macaroni shapes you get once you make this cut! So cute!

Step 4: Add floral embellishments, some with Foam Squares, as shown.

Step 2: Using the Rainbow Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with green leaf patterned paper. Trim to 2″ x 12″ and punch the other side. (Note: To punch the other side, place sticky notes along the punched edge to extend the width of the strip so that it stays in place under the magnetic holder.)

Step 3: Cut a 3/4″ x 12″ strip of yellow patterned paper and place it behind the two rows of  “holes” in the middle of the strip. Mount the strip along the middle of the border.

Step 4: Add the leaves and duck embellishments and the umbrella and “Springtime” stickers, popping some up with Foam Squares as desired.

  1. Wow, creative ways to use a border punch! I especially love the sticky notes to hold it in place to get the other side punched. Thanks!
