Scrapbooking comes with peaks and valleys. There are times when you can get frustrated (something isn’t turning out just right, you keep getting distracted, etc.), but these valleys are greatly overshadowed by the peaks of happiness that you feel when something turns out exactly like you wanted it to. This metaphor is brought to life with this outdoor scrapbook layout made with the Majestic Mountains Border Punch. Check out this fun layout created by blog contributor Krislyn!

Step 1: Use the blue wavy patterned paper as the base for the layout.
Step 2: Punch a border using the Majestic Mountains Border Punch and a piece of cream patterned paper. Trim to measure 1-1/2″ x 12″. Punch again with green patterned paper, trimming to measure 1-3/4″ x 12″. Punch a third time with brown wood patterned paper, trimming to measure 1-3/4″ x 12″. Layer the green border over the cream border, slightly offset. Adhere to the layout about 1″ down from the top edge. Adhere the brown border upside down underneath the green border to resemble a reflection on water. Apply a leafy garland border sticker over the seam. Add binoculars, cup and orange arrow stickers as shown.
Step 3: Cut a 3-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ piece of plaid patterned paper. Using scissors, cut a “V” notch in one short side as shown. Adhere about 3/4″ in from the right edge of the layout.
Step 4: Mat a 4″ x 6″ photo with a 4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″ piece of cream patterned paper and a 5″ x 4″ photo with a 5-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece. Adhere to the layout as shown.
Step 5: Cut a 6″ x 1/2″ strip of orange from the varied border patterned paper and apply just under the 5″ x 4″ photo.
Step 6: Add a pinecone, “Stay Adventurous” and “Gone Campin” stickers, popping up the latter with Foam Squares. Journal as desired.
