Catch the Wave with these Nautical Scrapbook Borders

Wish You Were Here Nautical Scrapbook Border

Step 1: Cut a 3-1/2″ x 12″ strip of striped patterned paper for your base.

Step 2: Using the Scallop Wave Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with the variegated blue patterned paper and trim it to measure 1-1/2″ wide. Punch a border with the pale green patterned paper and trim it to measure 1-7/8″ wide. Finally, punch a border with the navy patterned paper, punching only the first two “notches” on either side and leaving the two notches in the middle unpunched. Place the punched side along the middle of the Decorative Trimmer swell edge and make a cut as shown. Trim the border to measure 2-1/2″ wide.

Step 3: Layer the borders on the base. Begin with the navy border, then the pale green border and lastly the variegated blue border on top.

Step 4: Add the ropes border sticker, ship’s wheel and “Wish You Were Here” stickers.

Deep Blue Sea Nautical Scrapbook Border

Step 1: Using the Rainbow Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with the pale green patterned paper. Trim it to measure 3-1/4″ wide and punch the other side. This is your base.

Step 2: Using the Sunshine Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with the navy patterned paper. Trim it to measure 2-3/4″ wide. Cut a 1″ x 12″ strip of White Cardstock to place behind the suns and adhere this piece to the base so just the scallops of the rainbows show.

Step 3: Using the Scallop Wave Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with the pale green patterned paper and trim it to measure 1-5/8″ wide. Punch a border with the sailboat patterned paper and trim it to measure 1-1/2″ wide. Adhere these borders to the border as shown.

Step 4: Using the inside of the second largest Oval Custom Cutting System Pattern and the Red Blade, cut an oval with the pale green patterned paper. Using the Green Blade, cut an oval with the White Cardstock. Mount the “Deep Blue Sea” sticker on the white oval and mount that on the pale green oval and place it on the middle of the border with Foam Squares.

Step 5: Trim V’s from the left side of the “Saltwater” sticker and the right side of the “The High Seas” sticker and mount them to the left and right of the oval.

Cruising Nautical Scrapbook Border

Step 1: Using the Scallop Wave Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with the blue patterned paper. Trim it to measure 2-7/8″ wide. This is your base.

Step 2: Next, punch a border with the pale green patterned paper, trim it to measure 2-3/4″ and mount it on top. Cut a 1″ x 12″ strip of the starfish patterned paper and adhere it just underneath the scallops.

Step 3: Repeat the steps above with the variegated blue patterned paper, trimmed to measure 1-5/8″ wide. Then repeat with the royal blue patterned paper, trimmed to measure 1-1/2″. Finally, repeat with a 1″ x 12″ strip of the shell patterned paper, adhering it just under the scallops. Place the whole section on the border about 1/4″ up from the lower edge of the base.

Step 4: To make the sailboat, cut a circle from the royal blue patterned paper using the inside of the middle Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Red Blade. Cut off a 1″ section for the base of the boat and add three white circles punched from the Essentials 4-Way Punch. Cut a 1-1/4″ x 2″ piece of pale green patterned paper and cut it in half from corner to corner to make a sail. Do the same with a piece of sailboat patterned paper. With scissors, cut a tiny triangle from the royal blue patterned paper for the flag. Mount the border with Foam Squares.

Step 5: Punch three flags from a piece of sailboat patterned paper, pale green patterned paper and royal blue patterned paper with the Banner Flag Punch. Tuck the flags underneath the second section of the border as shown. Add clouds and “Crusing” stickers.

Step 1: Cut a 3″ x 12″ piece of pale green patterned paper for the base.

Step 2: Using the Scallop Wave Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with the sailboat patterned paper. Trim it to measure 1-1/2″ x 12″ wide and adhere it to the left side of the base. Punch a border with the navy patterned paper and trim it to measure 1″ wide. Adhere it to the right side of the base.

Step 3: Using the inside of the smallest Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Blue Blade, cut four circles each from the White Cardstock, sailboat patterned paper and gingham mat paper. Place them along the border in the “circle” cutouts.

Step 4: Add a title sticker with Foam Squares and place the nautical symbols border sticker down the left side.
