Take the Scenic Route with this Travel Scrapbook Layout

The world is full of wonder. There are so many places to see yet so many of us have seen so few of them. With work and kids and a million other things, it can be tough to find time to plan a trip but travel is definitely an investment that pays off in the long run. It broadens our horizons, introduces us to different cultures and reveals new things about ourselves. You’re bound to make plenty of memories along the way and the Scenic Route collection is the perfect companion for them. To create this layout, you will need:

• Scenic Route Paper Pack or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Scenic Route Laser Cut Border Embellishments or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Crimson Cardstock or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• 12-inch Trimmer or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• All-Purpose Scissors or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Tape Runner or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Repositionable Tape Runner Refill or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Foam Squares or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Brown Dual-Tip Pen or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Pencil

Step 1: Use a piece of Crimson Cardstock as the base of this layout.

Step 2: Cut a piece from the road patterned paper to measure 12″ x 8″ and adhere to the cardstock.

Step 3: Adhere the trees/mountains laser cut embellishment to the bottom of the paper. Using Foam Squares, layer it with the cactus/mountain laser cut embellishment.

Step 4: Cut a strip of cream patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1/2″ and adhere it behind the “open road” laser cut embellishment. Adhere that to the bottom of the layout.

Step 5: Adhere the “Scenic Route” laser cut embellishment to the top of the dark blue patterned paper using Repositionable Adhesive. Trace around the words “Scenic Route” with a pencil and then remove the laser cut embellishment from the paper. Use All-Purpose Scissors to cut along the pencil lines. Once cut out, place the laser cut embellishment back over the top of the cut blue piece. Adhere it to the layout along the top edge of the paper.

Step 6: Cut a piece of aqua patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1/2″ and adhere it along the bottom edge of the layout. Cut another piece to measure 12″ x 1″ and adhere it along the top edge of the layout.

Step 7: Cut two pieces of the plaid patterned paper to measure 5-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ and mat your photos to them. Adhere them to the layout as shown.

Step 8: Embellish and journal as desired.
