Are you looking to add whimsical wonder to your layouts and give them a lighthearted look that’ll give your spirit a lift? We’ve got five floral scrapbook borders for you using the Daydreamer collection, and even threw in some DIY embellishments and mats! Let’s take a look…
Krislyn’s Inspiration
Lately, I spend a lot of time daydreaming of warmer days and brighter skies, which is why I positively love playing with the Daydreamer collection! The shades of pink, green and yellow in soft floral patterns just give me a lift. I had so much fun combining the different punches that Creative Memories offers on these borders, and because the mats are too cute, I had to create matching journal boxes to go with the borders. Adding the journal boxes also helps to create a two-page layout: simply place the border on one page and the journal box opposite to carry the theme throughout your spread.

Step 4: Place the “Daydreamer” border sticker along the bottom edge of the yellow piece. Add a floral embellishment with Foam Squares.
Step 5: To create the title box, punch the top edge of the “Collect Beautiful Moments” mat with the Tulips Border Punch. Punch a 4″ wide yellow star piece with the Petal Frame Punch. Trim to measure 1-5/8″ long and add it to the bottom of the mat. Top with stickers.
Bloom with Grace Border and Journal Box

Step 1: Punch a border using the Scallop Burst Border Punch with the pink dot patterned paper. Trim to measure 3″ x 12″ to create the base.
Step 2: Cut a 2-1/4″ x 12″ strip of yellow star patterned paper and adhere it to the base. Cut a 1-3/4″ x 12″ strip of floral patterned paper and adhere it to the yellow strip, about 1/8″ from the left edge.
Step 3: Punch a border using the Flower Child Border Punch with Crimson Cardstock. Trim off the half flower and adhere the border to the floral piece. Place a leaf border sticker along the right side of the floral piece.

Love Border and Journal Box

Step 2: Cut a 12″ x 1″ strip of magenta, green stripe and heart patterned papers. Layer the magenta and green stripe papers on the base and top with the heart strip.
Step 3: Adhere a rainbow sticker in the middle as shown. Add the yellow floral border sticker and heart embellishment. Top with the “Love” embellishment, popped up with Foam Squares.
Step 4: To create the journal box, trim the mat shown to measure 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. Top with an embellishment.
All Heart Border and Journal Box

Step 1: Using the 12-inch Trimmer Scallop Blade, cut a 2-3/4″ x 12″ strip of dark green patterned paper for the base.
Step 2: Using the Dips & Diamonds Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with white patterned paper. Trim to measure 1″ x 12″. Cut a 2-1/4″ x 12″ strip of pink floral patterned paper. Adhere it to the base, tucking the dips and diamonds piece just behind the right side so just the scallops show.
Step 3: Cut a 1/2″ x 12″ strip of heart patterned paper. Adhere it to the border, about 3/4″ in from the left edge. Adhere a heart border sticker along the right side of the hearts strip.
Step 4: Punch using the Floral Circle Punch with Crimson Cardstock. Cut to measure 2-1/2″ wide and adhere to the lower left side of the border as shown (save the remaining piece). Cut a floral bar sticker at the 1-1/2″ mark (save this piece). Cut a V in the larger piece and adhere it to the border as shown. Top with stickers, popping some up with Foam Squares.
Step 5: To create the journal box, start with the mat shown. Cut the saved cardstock piece in half and mount it to the lower left corner as shown. Cut a V in the saved sticker piece and adhere it to the border along with a heart sticker popped up with Foam Squares.

Step 2: Cut a 12″ x 1-1/4″ strip of green stripe patterned paper and adhere it to the base, just above the scallops. Using the 12-inch Trimmer Scallop Blade, cut a 12″ x 1″ strip of the tiny floral patterned paper and adhere it to the top of the border.
Step 3: Punch a border using the Songbirds Border Punch with a piece of patterned paper. Adhere it to the top of the border.
Step 4: Add the “You are what you love” sticker and heart embellishment with Foam Squares.
