Creativity Will Click With These Camera Scrapbook Borders and Projects

The 29th of June is National Camera Day — a day focusing on celebrating the first step in the scrapbooking process. Our hobby wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the invention of the camera, so today, we’re saluting to the modern marvel with some fun camera scrapbook borders and DIY camera card. Let’s get started!

To create these borders and card, you will need:

With You In The Picture Border

Step 1: Cut a piece of the teal striped patterned paper to measure 12″ x 1-3/4″.

Step 2: Using the Cable Chain Border Maker Cartridge, punch a chain from Black Cardstock. Adhere the chain behind the top edge of the striped paper as shown.

Step 3: Adhere the filmstrip border sticker to the border. Adhere the “With you in the picture…” border sticker along the bottom edge of the filmstrip sticker.

Step 4: Cut a piece of Black Cardstock to measure 10″ x 2-1/2″ and punch along one edge with the Cable Chain Border Maker Cartridge. Adhere the cable chain border behind the bottom edge of the piece as shown. Cut off any excess.

Step 5: Using the Camera Love Punch, punch six pieces from various patterns of paper. Adhere along the bottom of the previous piece. Adhere behind the main border.

Live Life Take Pictures Border

Step 1: Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 2″ x 12″. 

Step 2: Using the Camera Love Punch, punch 18 (or more) camera pieces. Adhere on the White Cardstock sporadically. Trim off any excess using a scissors.

Step 3: Cut a piece of blue patterned paper to measure 2-1/4″ x 12″. Adhere behind the White Cardstock.

Step 4: Cut a piece of Black Cardstock, using the 12-inch Trimmer with the Stamping Blade to measure 2-3/4″ x 12″. Adhere behind the blue piece.

Step 5: Using the inside of the Custom Cutting System Gemstone Pattern with the Red Blade, cut a piece from the dark blue patterned paper.  Adhere the sticker to the top using Foam Squares. Adhere this piece to the top right portion of the border.

Step 6: Using the inside of the Custom Cutting System Gemstone Pattern with the Red Blade, cut three hexagons from various patterns of paper. Off-set and adhere from behind the border.

Step 7: Adhere stickers/embellishments as desired.

Smile Card

Step 1: Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold in half to create the card.

Step 2: Cut a piece of blue patterned paper to measure 5-1/4″ x 4″. Adhere to the front of the card.

Step 3: Cut a piece of aqua patterned paper to measure 5-1/4″ x 2-3/4″, using the 12-inch Trimmer with the Stamping Blade. Adhere to the card.

Step 4: Cut a piece of Black Cardstock to measure 5-1/4″ x 2-1/2″. Adhere to the aqua piece.

Step 5: Using the Custom Cutting System with the medium Circle Pattern, cut a piece from the aqua patterned paper with the Red Blade. Adhere the circle shutter sticker to the middle of this piece. Adhere to the Black Cardstock.

Step 6: Using the Camera Love Punch, punch two pieces from White Cardstock. Adhere one to each side of the circle. 

Step 7: Using the Camera Love Punch, punch two piece from light blue patterned paper. Adhere the hearts to the inside of the White Cardstock cameras. Adhere the star embellishment and the “smile” sticker to the top of the circle using Foam Squares.
