Take a Bite of Sweetness With This Fruit Scrapbook Border

Who doesn’t love a juicy piece of fruit? There are so many fabulous fruits out there in the world, and so many ways to enjoy them — whirled up in a smoothie, chopped up for a salad, placed atop an ice cream sundae and in its simplest form, eaten plain! Each sweet morsel has its own set of origins or where its zest and aroma taste best, and blog contributor Sachiyo Omitsu was just recently thinking about that notion with tropical fruits she had in Hawaii! It inspired her to produce a fruit scrapbook border with the new Boho Escape collection — take a look at this sweet treat!

Sachiyo’s Inspiration

The most delicious fruit I’ve ever had was an assortment of tropical fruit in Hawaii. When we took a tour at a fruit farm, our guide picked various ripe fruits from the trees and let us taste them on the spot. I don’t even know the names of some of those fruits, but they were definitely the most wonderful fruits I’ve ever tasted in my life! What fruits do you love the most?

To create this border you will need:

• Boho Escape Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Boho Escape Stickers or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Dark Green, Goldenrod, Light Gray & Rich Brown Solid Cardstocks or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Pineapple Punch or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Custom Cutting System with Circle Patterns or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Alphabet Stamp Kit System or (Shop Canada) | Shop Australia)
• 12-inch Trimmer or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• All-Purpose Scissors or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Repositionable Tape Runner or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
• Foam Squares or (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Step 1: Using the Pineapple Punch, punch one pineapple with Goldenrod Cardstock, one pineapple with Dark Green Cardstock and two pineapples with Rich Brown Solid Cardstocks. Cut the Dark Green leaves or “crown” and adhere it on the Goldenrod pineapple. Layer two pieces of Rich Brown pineapples under the Goldenrod pineapple.

Step 2: Using the inside and outside of the small Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Red Blade, cut a ring from Goldenrod and Light Gray Solid Cardstocks.

Step 3: Place the Alphabet Stamp letters on the back of the small Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and stamp on the Goldenrod ring.

Step 4: Lay the Goldenrod ring on top of the Light Gray one and cut to make it look like a sliced pineapple. Adhere the Light Gray piece under the Goldenrod one. Add the assembled pineapple between the letter L and H using a Foam Square.

Step 5: Cut salmon pink paper to measure 1-1/2″ x 12″ and 1-3/4″ x 12″. Flip the 1-3/4″ strip, facing the navy patterned paper up and adhere it under the salmon pink strip.

Step 6: Adhere stickers and the sliced pineapple piece, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.
