Cards — while perhaps just simple pieces of paper and a bit of writing, there’s so much meaning behind a card made by hand, for someone was thinking of you, wishing you well or they just wanted to thank you for being you! The thought and care that goes into a handmade card is quite special. Blog contributor Tina Kistinger was in the good old-fashioned (and super creative!) cardmaking mood, and decided to take charge of a couple DIY card ideas that flaunt the gorgeous hues of the Emerald Gemstone collection and classic-looking style of the Alphabet Stamp Kit System! Who would you send these cards to?

When sorting through my mail, I always pick out the handwritten envelope that I know is filled with something wonderful. Handmade goodness is definitely more fun and exciting to receive and share.

Step 2: Cut four squares of Various patterned paper to measure 2″ x 2 5/8″. Adhere to the card base.
Step 3: Add T, H, A, N, K and S uppercase letters to the acrylic block, spelled out backwards as shown. Stamp “THANKS” on White Solid Cardstock. Trim and mat onto cardstock.
Step 4: Adhere “THANKS” block to the card using Foam Squares.
Do you know what “happy mail” is? It’s definitely not bills, statements, advertisements or junk mail. It’s anything that you get in the mail that makes you happy. Happy mail can be as simple as a cute card or as extravagant as a care package. (You can send anything that makes the recipient happy!) Why not make this card and send some happiness?
