Welcome to the June 2021 Worldwide Virtual Crop! We’re so happy you’re able to join us because we’ve got THREE DAYS full of cropping, community, creativity and the chance to win exclusive album covers! Woohoo! Are you ready for this global get-together? Well then, let’s get started with Challenge #1 to kick it all off!
Creative Memories Advisors from around the world have created layouts for YOU! Every 4 hours, you will receive a new sketch to create. Review all posting times here.
First, a few things to note:
- If it’s your first time participating in a Virtual Crop and you’d like a quick walk-through of what to expect before we get started, you can get all the details about Virtual Crops here. Read this post in Japanese ⇒ 日本語はこちらです
- You can use whatever products you have on hand to complete the challenges. You do NOT need to use the products that were in the WWVC Secret Box #2 to participate in this crop (although if you purchased Secret Box #2 back in May and opened it with us today, we hope you do!).
- THIS IS A FREE EVENT. If you see anything asking you to enter credit card information, it is NOT LEGITIMATE.
- You can participate using traditional scrapbooking products, Digital Artwork and/or Custom Themes from the Creative Memories website. For instructions on participating digitally, please see the bottom of this post.
Japanese Translation: このイベント内で、クレジットカード情報を取得しようとするスパムコメントが投稿されています。本イベントは無料ですので、クレジットカード番号を聞かれても決して入力しないでください。
The Prize for All 12 Challenges
The prize for all 12 challenges of the Worldwide Virtual Crop will be the exclusive 12×12 Silver Mist Camera Album Cover! Prizes will be awarded to two (2) participants in each challenge. We will award the prizes randomly, but to win, it must be evident that you have used the sketch we provided as inspiration to create a project using predominantly Creative Memories products. Prize winners will be announced on Thursday, June 17, at 3pm CT.

Worldwide Virtual Crop Challenge #1:
- If you haven’t already done so, join the Creative Memories Virtual Crop Facebook Group! You can find instructions on how to join here. Note: This is a Facebook Group and not a Facebook Event. Therefore, you only need to join once, so if you’ve already joined, you’re all set!
- During the crop, log in to the Creative Memories Virtual Crop Facebook Group and click on the “Discussion” tab to view the pinned post for the most current challenge. The challenge number will be posted on the sketch.
- Click the link for the challenge, which will take you here — our blog. (HINT: If you’ve subscribed to the blog already, the challenges will be emailed to you directly as all other blog posts are and you can skip this step.) The challenge instructions will be posted here on the blog. OR click on “Media” > “Albums” in the Facebook Group to view the sketches there. To see past challenges you may have missed, click on “Announcements” in the Facebook Group.
- Create a layout following the sketch below.
- Take a photo of your completed project.
- Post the photo of your completed page or spread in the Creative Memories Virtual Crop Group AND add the correct hashtag with your post: #WORLD1, #WORLD2, #WORLD3, etc., to the caption/comments. You will add the hashtag that matches the challenge you are submitting. Feel free to use other hashtags as well, such as #WWVC2021 or #CreativeMemories, but BE SURE to include #WORLD1, #WORLD2, etc., so we can find your post. For Instagram users, you will need to add #WORLD1, #WORLD2, etc., so your post can be found. Note: When submitting your challenge, be sure to create your own post and don’t “comment” on someone else’s to ensure we see your entry.
- You have the entire event to submit all 12 challenges (some will post while you are sleeping) but all submissions must be received by June 13 at 11:59pm CT. View challenge times in your time zone here. Keep refreshing the Virtual Crop Facebook Group to see others’ masterpieces!

TUTORIAL: Check out creating this sketch using the Secret Box components with CM Advisor Lara Carlson.

Lara Carlson is from Alma, Ark., and has been creating and telling her family’s stories in CM albums since she completed her first page in 1996, and as an Advisor for most of the years since. She’s created a library of albums documenting 30 years with her husband, three children, family and friends, as well as a new addition of a granddaughter last year. Seasons of life and scrapbooking change, but enjoying the creative process and preserving the photos, adventures and milestones while completing pages and albums has been a constant.

Collection Used: Secret Box #2

Ada Weier-Amor went to her first Creative Memories scrapbooking class in 1997, shortly after her first child was born, and has been scrapbooking ever since. She was scrapbooking so much she became an Advisor in 2000. Creative Memories has become a part of Ada, and she cannot imagine not being an Advisor.

BONUS Card Challenge
As if 12 challenges aren’t fun enough, we’ve sweetened the WWVC with a BONUS card challenge! Using the Shabby Chic Rose Mini Card Kit from your Secret Box #2 (or whatever supplies you have on-hand if you didn’t order Secret Box #2), create a card of your own design and post it in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group with the hashtag #WORLDBONUS for a chance to be one of two BONUS winners! Just like the regular June WWVC challenges, you have until June 13 at 11:59pm CT to submit your #WORLDBONUS challenge and these BONUS prize winners will also be announced with the other 12 prize winners on Thursday, June 17, at 3pm CT!

can we hear how the blackberries were made??
Ada made blackberries by cutting scallops around the edges of the Double Balloon Punch! They are very fun, aren’t they?!
yes, I would like to know too
Hi Liz! Ada used the Double Balloon Punch and cut scallops around the edges!
Well now I might need that punch!
That flip card is FABULOUS! I will be making one of those soon!
I will definitely have a make and take session using this flip card.
I am trying to recreate this, but unclear on the photo that lists what is needed. I understand the circle , journal box and strip across but I’m confused when it says 1 sheet, 2-4×12 And 2 2×12. What paper is this?
