Step 1: Cut the sky blue water ripples paper into two pieces — 5″ x 12″ and 7″ x 12″.

Step 2: Cut the ocean blue trellis paper into two pieces — 5″ x 12″ and 7″ x 12″.

Step 3: Weld the sky blue water ripples 5” piece with the ocean blue trellis 7″ piece for the left side of the spread. Weld the sky blue water ripples 7″ piece with the 5″ ocean blue trellis piece for the right side of the spread.

Step 4: To create the ship wheel:

  • Using the Circle Cutter, set at 8″ and cut a piece from the cool taupe lines paper.
  • Align the large Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern on top of this circle and use the Green Blade on the outside edge to cut a circle.
  • Cut four pieces of paper to measure 1/2″ x 12″. Use the 2-Way Corner Rounder to round all of the corners.
  • Lay the strips on the 13×13 Custom Cutting System Mat, using the lines on the mat to align/angle the strips.
  • Place the circle on top of it.
  • Using the inside edge of the large Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern with the Blue Blade, cut a piece of the same paper as the previous pieces.
  • Using the inside edge of the medium Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern with the Red Blade, cut a piece of rust red wash tonal paper. Adhere to the previous circle. Adhere this layered circle to the middle of the wheel.
  • Lay the wheel on the left side of the spread. Use a scissors to cut off anything that is hanging off on the right and then adhere those pieces to the right side of the spread.

Step 5: Cut two pieces from the beach towel stripes paper to measure 1″ x 12″ Using Border Maker System with the Rope Chain Border Maker Cartridge, punch two borders from rich red tonal paper. Adhere these pieces behind the previous strips. Adhere to the far edges of the spread.

Step 6: Cut photo mats — 4-1/4″ x 6-1/4″, 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ and (3) 5″ x 3-3/4″. Adhere to the spread.

Step 7: Adhere a large and small mat to the spread for the title.

Step 8: Adhere a large mat to journal upon on the right side of the spread, cutting to fit. Journal as desired.

Step 9: Punch an anchor using the Anchor Punch. Adhere to the inside circle of the wheel.

Step 10: Adhere stickers and embellishments, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.
