Lauren’s Inspiration
“When Advisor Pam Winn told me about her idea to create a 2+2+2 Class (where attendees learn how to create two cards, two borders and two two-page spreads), I knew the idea would be a hit with customers and Advisors alike! It’s a great way to get your hands on the new products and get started on creating album pages.
“And what better time to create some ideas than with the new You-Pick-It Promo?! I combined Pam’s idea with my love for creating simple base page layouts that are a perfect place for fun border strips. I hope this gives you some inspiration and ideas on how to use these fabulous new products.”

Fantastic Day Border

Step 1: Using the 12-inch Trimmer with the Wave Blade, cut a piece of White Solid Cardstock to measure 12″ x 2 3/4″.
Step 2: Using the 12-inch Trimmer with the Straight Blade, cut a piece of the waves paper to measure 2 1/2″ x 12″. (Make sure the waves are going horizontal.)
Step 3: Cut three circles out of the sunshine yellow suns paper using the medium Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern on the inside track using the Red Blade.
Step 4: Cut three rings from the flip-flops paper using the medium Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern on the inside track using the Blue Blade followed by the Red Blade.
Step 5: Adhere circles to the waves paper, allowing some of the circles to go off the side of the paper. Carefully trim the circles with a scissors and adhere extra pieces to the border as shown.
Step 6: Adhere the “This was a fantastic day” laser title embellishment to the border.
Park Bench Border

Step 1: Cut a base layer of White Solid Cardstock to measure 12″ x 2 1/2″.
Step 2: Punch a strip of the green gingham paper with the Walk in the Park Border Punch. Trim to measure 2″ to the top of the tallest tree.
Step 3: Using the swell edge of the 12-inch Decorative Trimmer, cut the sunshine yellow suns paper to measure 2″ to the blade (swell).
Step 4: With the 12-inch Trimmer, trim the other side of the swell paper to measure 1-1/2″ past the edge of the swell.
Step 5: With the 12-inch Trimmer, cut a 2-1/2″ piece from the park bench punched paper. Next, trim a 1/2″ piece off the punched strip. Repeat cutting a 2-1/2″ then 1/2″ piece until you have cut the entire strip. This creates movement in the trees for your border.
Step 6: Using the 2″ sunshine yellow suns paper with the swell, trim four 2-1/2″ segments.

Step 7: Using the 1-1/2” fresh flowers paper, trim four 2-1/2″ segments.
Step 8: Starting at the top of the border strip, adhere the suns piece using the straight part of the strip for the top.
Step 9: Moving down the strip, adhere the park bench punch piece so that it overlaps the sun paper and does not show any white underneath.
Step 10: Adhere the fresh flowers paper on top of the park bench piece, showing the swell edge.
Step 11: Continue down the strip using the suns, park bench and fresh flowers papers alternately until you reach the bottom of the border.
2-Page Layout for the Park Bench Border

*NOTE: Either the park bench double-page layout can be made with the sun paper OR the flip-flops double-page layout. To create both, you will need to substitute the sun paper on one of the layouts.
Step 1: With the 12-inch Trimmer, cut the green gingham paper at 10″ then turn the 12″ x 10″ paper to create another cut at 5″. (You will have a 10″ x 5″ rectangle and a 10″ x 7″ rectangle.)
Step 2: Using the full sheet of yellow sunshine suns paper, cut a 12″ x 7″ strip.
Step 3: With the same paper, cut a 2-1/2″ strip. (You will have one additional 2-1/2″ strip.)
Step 4: Using the 12-inch Decorative Trimmer, cut one of the 2-1/2″ strips in half, using the swell blade.
Step 5: Using the 12-inch Trimmer with the Straight Blade, cut the swell pieces at 5″.
Step 6: Place cut paper on a double-page spread as shown, adding the Park Bench Border.
2-Page Layout for the Fantastic Day Border

Step 2: Using the full sheet of yellow sunshine suns paper (or paper of your choice), cut a 12″ x 7″ strip.
Step 3: With the same paper, cut a 2-1/2″ strip. (You will have one additional 2-1/2″ strip.)
Step 4: Using the 12-inch Trimmer with the Straight Blade, cut the remaining 12″ x 2″ flip-flops paper in half, so you will have two 12″ x 1″ strips. Cut both strips at 5″.

Step 4: Using the swell edge of the 12-inch Decorative Trimmer, cut a 1″ strip and then trim into three 4″ pieces.

Gorgeous ideas
Love these ideas, Lauren! And even thought the wallpapering is not my style, I’m sure I can come up with something that works. Now…..I’d better go put my order in for these great promos! Thanks for sharing.
Pam Winn is my advisor and holds a 2+2+2 class every 6 weeks virtually. She sends out detailed instructions plus she walks you through the entire creation step by step. Even if you have never put together any paper crafts, I highly recommend taking Pam’s class. She has a special FB group that you get to join and be a part of when you sign up for a class.
Feel free to look in FB or check out nthe classes on the Creative Memories website.
How clever is that. Especially the park benches design. Can’t wait for my package and I will be joining one of Pam’s classes. So much talent! And she shares. Ty.
