Take A Magical Ride With This Amusement Park Layout

Going to an amusement park is fun at any age — you can ride a zooming 360-degree corkscrew roller coaster or a slow-and-steady and high-in-the-sky Ferris wheel, enjoy sugary cotton candy, cool lemonade and deep-fried corn dogs and even play games and simply people-watch! And that’s just the magical experience you can enjoy over and over again with the Sparks of Magic collection! And it’s not perfect just for amusement park adventures — it’s also a happy reminder for memories of days at the fair, carnivals, water parks, birthday parties and so much more! Take a creative ride with this amusement park layout and let your imagination have fun!

Step 1: Using the 12-inch Trimmer, cut the piece of designer paper with blue on one side and black with multi-hued stars on the other into two pieces that measure 6″ x 12″. Flip one of the pieces over and weld together using a 1″ strip of paper/cardstock.

Step 2: Cut a piece of red hearts designer paper to measure 12″ x 1-1/2″ with the 12-inch Trimmer and the Wavy Blade. Adhere to the middle edge of the black multi-hued stars paper.

Step 3: Using the Border Maker System with the Starry Border Maker Cartridge, punch along the edge of the yellow polka dots tonal paper. After the edge is punched, then cut at 1-1/4″. Adhere to the top of the red paper.

Step 4: Cut three photo mats from Aqua Solid Cardstock to measure 3-3/4″ x 4-1/4″. Adhere along the bottom edge of the layout. Cut three photos to measure 3-1/2″ x 4″. Adhere to the cardstock mats.

Step 5: Cut 20 pieces of various papers to measure 1/2″ x 6″. Adhere to the top of the layout vertically, leaving approximately 1/8″ in between each piece.

Step 6: Adhere border stickers along the middle of the layout.

Step 7: Adhere a mat to the back of a laser-cut mat. Adhere to the layout using Foam Squares.

Step 8: Adhere stickers and embellishments to the layout using Foam Squares on some for added dimension. Journal as desired.
