Crisp air, gorgeous leaves, blankets, s’mores and hot chocolate… what else do we need on a comfy autumn day? Well, if you’re an enthusiastic scrapbooker, you may need some scrapbooking supplies! I love setting a table in my backyard and working some scrapbook projects during this beautiful time of the year. What is your most beloved scrapbooking place? Maybe it’s the beach, a mountain cabin or café with a laid-back atmosphere?

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Cut out a 1″ width frame from the navy gingham designer paper and use it as the base of this layout. Set aside the cutout square piece.

Step 2: Cut a piece of light woodgrain designer paper to measure 11-3/4″ x 11-3/4″. Draw a circle using the outside edge of the Custom Cutting System Jumbo Circle Pattern with a pencil. Adhere to the base frame.

Step 3: Using the Sunflower Vine Punch, punch four borders from the cutout navy gingham square piece. Cut a slit in between designs and bend to form a circular shape. Adhere to the page, following the drawn out pencil circle. Trim the excess as you go.

Step 4: Cut the pieces as follows to create a bear embellishment.

Eyes and Nose: Using the Piece by Piece Mini Trio Punch, punch pieces of Black Solid Cardstock — use the smaller circle for the eyes. Trim a larger circle to make it looks like a nose.

Cut the following pieces from the marigold dots patterned paper:

  • Face: Cut with the inside edge of the medium Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Green Blade.
  • Ears: Cut with the inside edge of the smallest Custom Cutting System Oval Pattern and the Green Blade. You need two pieces.
  • Body: Cut with the outside edge of the smallest Custom Cutting System Oval Pattern and the Red blade.
  • Arms: Cut two pieces freehand that measure 3/4″ x 2″. Ink the edge of the arms with Brown Dual-Tip Pen.

Cut the following pieces from the grid tonal paper:

  • Ears: Cut with inside edge of the smallest Custom Cutting System Oval Pattern and the Blue Blade. You need two pieces.
  • Nose: Cut with the inside edge of the smallest Custom Cutting System Oval Pattern and the Green Blade. Trim the top and bottom of the oval shape as shown.

Step 5: Start to assemble the bear piece by piece starting with the head first. Use Repositionable Tape Runner adhesive so you can re-arrange as needed. Add the scarf embellishment under his chin before adding the head to his body. Use some Foam Squares for added dimension.

Step 6: Add your bear to the bottom-right corner of the page and trim the excess. Add photo mats.

Step 7: Adhere stickers and embellishments, using Foam Squares on for added dimension.

  1. I’ve been wondering what to do for the inner page on my son’s baby book that has a bear on the cover. I am using the Little Dreamer papers and embellishments. This will be perfect!
