Say Sláinte With This St. Patrick’s Day Scrapbook Layout

Each year on the 17th of March, the Irish and Irish-at-heart celebrate the patron saint of the Emerald Isle by attending parades, donning the dapperness of green attire, listening to traditional Irish and Celtic music, decorating with lucky shamrocks and heading out to a local pub. Well, today we say “Sláinte,” for we are rolling out the green carpet for this mid-March observance and celebration with this St. Patrick’s Day scrapbook layout! (It’s sure to be your next lucky charm of a layout!)

Karyn’s Inspiration:

I found the hues associated with Ireland — green, orange and white — throughout the Endless Meadows Tone-on-Tone Paper Pack. The photos inspired the fun title that I created with the ABC/123 Stickers. Perhaps with a bit of “luck o’ the Irish,” we have the perfect border punches and Border Maker Cartridge to coordinate with the title!

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Cut a 1″ hollow frame from a sheet of Dark Green Solid Cardstock. Cut green fronds tonal paper to 11-3/4″ x 11-3/4″ and adhere to the frame.

Step 2: Use the Dine Border Punch to punch borders from Dark Green Solid Cardstock and peach waves tonal paper. Adhere the peach piece on top of the dark green piece, leaving a small amount of dark green showing at the top of the border. Trim border to 6″.

Step 3: Use the Original Border Maker System with the Wine Chain Border Maker Cartridge to punch borders from Dark Green Solid Cardstock and green raindrops tonal paper. Adhere the green raindrops piece on top of the dark green piece, leaving a small amount of dark green showing at the top of the border. Trim border to 6″.

Step 4: Use the Masquerade Border Punch to punch borders from Dark Green Solid Cardstock and leaf green waves tonal paper. Adhere the leaf green piece on top of the dark green piece, leaving a small amount of dark green showing at the top of the border. Trim border to 6″.

Step 5: Mat a 6″ x 4″ photo with a 6-1/8″ x 4-1/8″ piece of Dark Green Solid Cardstock.

Step 6: Crop four photos to measure 2-7/8″ x 2-7/8″. Cut a piece of Dark Green Solid Cardstock to measure 12″ x 3″ and adhere photos to the piece.

Step 7: Cut a piece of green raindrops tonal paper to 6″ x 3/4″. Cut a piece of Dark Green Solid Cardstock to 6-1/8″ x 7/8″. Adhere the green raindrops piece to the dark green piece. Journal.

Step 8: Adhere the photos and border pieces to the layout as shown.

Step 9: Add a title with White Serif and White Sans Serif ABC/123 Stickers.
