Knock Your Stalks Off: Bamboo-tiful Animal Scrapbook Borders

It’s fast-growing, sustainable and eco-friendly. Any guesses? It’s bamboo! This versatile grass (yes, it’s grass, not a tree!) can be processed in so many different ways for a vast variety of products, from flooring to fabrics, biofuel and bridges. And it’s even a food source for humans (bamboo shoot salad, anyone?), as well as a staple for some animals, like elephants and pandas. Well, if you want to grow a grove of great borders, then take a look at these animal scrapbook borders featuring the Bamboo Border Punch. They’re sure to knock your stalks off!

To create these borders you will need:

Cut a 12″ x 5/8″ strip of zebra stripes designer paper and adhere on the bottom. Cut a 12″ x 1-1/8″ strip of white dotted paper and adhere on the middle of the border.

Step 2: Using the Bamboo Border Punch, punch two borders with jungle leaves designer paper. Adhere along the seams of the dotted strip.

Step 3: Add the “Walk on the wild side” border sticker in the middle using Foam Squares for added dimension. Add monkey and banana stickers.

Step 3: With the Bamboo Border Punch, punch three borders with Black Solid Cardstock. Trim and adhere on the border as shown.

Step 4: Using the inside edge of the medium Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Blue Blade, cut a circle with Goldenrod Solid Cardstock. Adhere behind the bamboo.

Step 5: Adhere the koala sticker using Foam Squares for added dimension.

Cut a 1″ x 12″ strip of light pink animal print designer paper, scalloping the right side with the 12-inch Trimmer and the Scallop Blade. Adhere strips side by side with scallops facing out.

Step 3: With the Bamboo Border Punch, punch a border with dark brown snakeskin designer paper. Adhere along the middle of the border. Punch another bamboo border with Kelly green palm leaves designer paper. Using scissors, cut out the leaves and adhere them on the dark brown border.
