A Trick-or-Treat of a Layout!

It’s never too early to celebrate Halloween! Start working on your spooky scrapbooks with this Halloween-inspired layout created by blog contributor Brenda Rose! It takes materials from the Boo-Yah collection, perfect for showing off your memories of trick-or-treating, haunted houses and all your Halloween parties.

Layout by Brenda Rose — CM Independent Advisor

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use one sheet of Bright White Solid Cardstock as the base.

Step 2: Cut one each 12″ x 2″ of the following pieces of designer paper: moon and clouds, multi-color dots, multi-color stars, and pumpkin/candy icons. Distress the edges of the designer paper with the inside of scissor blades. Gently rub the blade against the paper to bring out the white core. Place the moon and clouds paper is 2″ from the top. Follow by adding other designs directly below.

Step 3: For the large photo mats, cut one 6-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ piece of Terra Green Cardstock and one 6-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Gravity Grape Cardstock. The example shows four 3″ x 4″ photos, but you can also use two 6″ x 4″ photos or one 6″ x 8″ photo. Adhere the layered photo mat 1-3/4″ from the bottom and ½” from the right edge.

Step 4:  Adhere the stickers of your choice or as shown using Foam Squares for added dimension.

What are your Halloween plans this year? Will you take lots of photos?

  1. It took me a hot sec to realize there was white space at the top & bottom of the layout. Since there are journaling strips to tell the story I’d expand the colorful sections to allow for more photos. So many of the white space layouts are an opportunity for additional photos or extensive journaling.
