To create these layouts you will need:

Step 1: Cut rainbow paper to 12” x 3” and adhere to the bottom of a sheet of heart paper.

Step 2: Cut Canary Solid Cardstock to 12” x 1-3/8” and adhere to the top of the layout.

Step 3: Cut yellow wood grain paper to 12” x 1-1/4” and adhere over the Canary Solid Cardstock strip leaving a cardstock edge at the bottom.

Step 4: Cut a 12” x 1-1/2” strip from Bright White Solid Cardstock. Add journaling to the top of the strip using a Black Dual-Tip Pen.

Step 5: Cut a 12” x 1-1/8” strip from Canary Solid Cardstock and adhere to the bottom edge of the Bright White Solid Cardstock strip.

Step 6: Cut a border of apples from the sheet of printed borders. The strip will be 12” x 1”. Adhere the strip to the center of the Canary Solid Cardstock strip from Step 5.

Step 7: Use the Custom Cutting System with the medium Circle Pattern and Blue Blade on the inside edge to cut 13 circles from Canary Solid Cardstock.

Step 8: Use the Circle Punch to punch nine 1-3/4” circles from the navy check paper and four circles from the brown chevron paper. Adhere the circles to the Canary Solid Cardstock circles.

Step 9: Cut the circles with brown chevron paper in half. Cut four of the circles with navy check paper in half.

Step 10: Adhere the semi-circles to the top and bottom of the border piece. Trim as needed. Adhere the completed border to the bottom of the layout overlapping the rainbow and heart papers.

Step 11: Adhere the five circles with navy checks to the top center of the layout overlapping the border and heart paper.

Step 12: Use Foam Squares to adhere embellishments and stickers to the top circles on the layout as shown.

Step 13: Crop photos to 2-3/4” x 3-3/4” and/or 3-3/4” x 2-3/4”. Cut 3” x 4” photo mats from Canary Solid Cardstock. Adhere photos to the mats and adhere to the center the layout.

  1. These layouts are such happy, cheerful little celebrations of growing up! I can’t wait to use them for my granddaughter!

  2. The instructions above with the specific papers described reference the Growing Up Layout that is hinted at on the CM Shopping site by snippets of the layout in the product images for the Growing Up paper, stickers, and Many Firsts embellishments. As well as What’s New Marketing flyer for the Growing Up Collection that is available from CM Advisors. The papers and embellishments listed specifically in the Instruction Steps are also from the Growing Up Paper Pack (not the theme bundle ones), the Growing Up Sticker Pack, and the Many Firsts Embellishments.

Is it possible to add the image showing the ‘First Day of School, Learning, and Growing’ layout? It might be easier for folks to follow the above listed directions if they can see the reference set up, placement, etc. Thanks!

The six images displayed on this blog page follow the same instructions using the corresponding 6 theme Growing Up bundles for their papers and embellishments. And they all are so colorful and fun! As soon as I saw the marketing images, I knew I wanted to make the layouts. I was hoping CM wouldn’t make us wait too long for the detailed directions! Thank you! I’m looking forward to doing that – and with the Buffet promotion – it’ll be easy to do all!
