Map Out Your Memories With Global Getaway

Ready to take the scenic route with your memory keeping? The Global Getaway collection is designed for documenting every adventure, from bucket-list trips to spontaneous weekend escapes and all the moments in between. With travel-inspired details and patterns that feel right at home on any page, this layout shows how easy it is to map out your stories in a way that feels personal and fun. So grab your photos, pick your path, and let this be the layout that sends your creativity places it has never been before. Sometimes all it takes is a new destination to inspire the stories you want to tell!

To create this layout, you will need:

Layout by Brenda Rose, Creative Memories Design Team Contributor

Step 1: Use a sheet of Bright White Solid Cardstock as the base for this layout.

Step 2: Punch a 12″ border from the light blue map designer paper using the Vintage BMC. Trim the border to 3/4″ wide and adhere it to the page 2-1/2″ from the top edge. Next, punch four large clouds using the In Flight Border Punch. Brush the edges of the clouds with Summer Sky ink and set aside.

Step 3: Cut a 12″ x 3″ piece of blue striped designer paper, making sure the stripes run vertically. Place it at the top of the page, covering the Vintage BMC border. Next, trim a 12″ x 1/8″ strip from the navy ABC designer paper and adhere it along the bottom edge of the striped paper.

Step 4: Cut an 8-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ piece of navy ABC designer paper to use as a photo mat. Adhere the mat 1/2″ from the left edge and 1-1/2″ from the bottom edge of the page. Place four 4″ x 3″ photos on the mat as shown.

Step 5: Find the Travel mat card and trim along the edges of the map print. If desired, trim the circles off the top to give it the look of a notebook edge. Tuck it at an angle under the right side of the mat.

Step 6: Use a pencil to draw two light journaling lines 1″ from the right edge, starting 3/4″ from the bottom and spacing them 1/4″ apart. After journaling erase the pencil lines.

Step 7: Add stickers, embellishments, and punched clouds, popping some up with Foam Squares as desired.

Where will your next layout take you? Whether you’re capturing faraway destinations or memories closer to home, let your creativity lead the way and don’t be afraid to enjoy the journey!
