Revisit Your Favorite Summer Memories

The Your Own Way collection is one of those collections that works especially well when you’re building out your yearly album. This playful layout pairs warm orangey tones with easy blues for a look that naturally fits those summer memories, whether it’s a trip, a backyard day or something in between. It’s a simple way to work those moments into your scrapbook and keep your year feeling balanced.

To create this layout, you will need:

Step 1: Use a sheet of Navy Solid Cardstock as the base for this layout. (Tip: You may wish to remove the inside of this sheet, leaving the outer frame, to conserve paper.) Cut a sheet of beige fine line stripes tonal paper to 11-1/2″ x 11-1/2″ and adhere it onto the base page.

Step 2: Cut the sun mat to 3-1/4″ x 4″. Crop two photos to 3-1/4″ x 4″. Adhere all three near the top of the layout as shown. Cut an 11-1/2″ x 1/2″ strip with light blue crest stripes designer paper and adhere the piece just below the photos and mat.

Step 3: Adhere the navy mat with the “Deep Thoughts” journal prompt and a burnt orange mat just below the light blue strip, as shown. Adhere a 4″ x 6″ photo on the orange mat.

Step 4: Crop a photo to 4″ x 2″ and adhere it below the navy mat. Adhere the burnt orange faded tag embellishment under the journal mat, tucking the tag behind.

Step 5: Adhere tag embellishments behind the top right photo. Add stickers, clear title stickers and journaling as desired.

Summer photos have a way of lingering on your camera roll. Adding them into your album now keeps things moving and makes sure those memories don’t get skipped!
