Hi, everyone! Have you seen the Cloth, Timber and Stone papers? WOW, the patterns are gorgeous! It really was hard selecting only a few patterns on my layout because I wanted to use them all. Keep reading to find out what patterns I decided on!
Have you been invited to a “crop”, or a scrapbooking retreat?
Depending on the length of the event we often times find ourselves wondering what we need to bring with us. We can so easily get side-tracked and want to take half of our possessions with us.
Take a step back and simplify. There are only 10 items that you should have. And, if you are missing one or two don’t panic as I am sure that one of your “crop” neighbors will have just what you are needing. And “crop” neighbors tend to be some of the nicest “folk” out there.
Recently I had the pleasure of traveling to northern MN to attend a “crop” with Creative Memories Advisors Sherry Bisek and Leslie Hauge. Their guests helped me-to help you- know what you should bring with you.
I feel the need to give you a little history of me. I love to create cards and mini albums but I had a mental block with scrapbooking I could not get rid of. I wanted to scrapbook the numerous photos I have at home but I always felt like I would do it wrong. I was afraid of someone pointing out everything that I shouldn’t do on a layout. Not sure how I broke the mental block but it is gone forever!! I realized the pages I create are for me and my family to enjoy, it’s not like I am publishing them for the world to see…oh wait! I am!! I believe my style of scrapbooking is far from traditional but I am always happy with the result. I hope you enjoy the layout I made of my great nephew Bannon.
Furry friends are the best, aren’t they? Many of us love our pets so much we take oodles of pictures of them and dedicate entire albums to capturing the special bonds we share with them. The Fur Buddies Paper and Stickers are PURR-fectly wonderful for those fun and lovable pages, and I couldn’t wait to get my PAWS on the new Paw Prints Border maker Cartridge to make some borders. Hope you DIG ’em!
Today, I’m encouraging you to take a closer look at our new Sorbet Scrapbooking Collection. When I first saw it, I immediately noticed the pinks, purples, yellows and all of the flowers. But on a closer look, I realized that it really is a versatile collection. The feminine colors are balanced by shades of orange, blue, green and gray. It’s obviously going to be fantastic for all types of spring projects and scrapbooking, but the playful artwork of this collection is also going to be great for scrapbooking photos of both my granddaughter and my grandson.
Everything about the Sorbet Collection makes me happy! Fun, bright colors and playful flowers and shapes just make me smile. I couldn’t wait to pull out our fun new tools and play around with some borders! I like to use the borders to personalize my Sorbet Fast2Fab album, although they’re sure to add a lively spark to any kind of page style. Give ’em a try…bet you’ll be smiling, too!
