Imagine. Love. Dreams. Wish. Family. Moments.
The words in the Imagine Laser Cut Embellishments speak to me. They make me want to gather my family close and reminisce over photos and memories, old and new.
Poring over a bunch of old, seemingly random photos the other day got me thinking about how connected everything in my life really is. The circle of life and all that. How fun would it be to create a little coffee table book, connecting the old with the new, Then and Now? What if I could pull it out when the family is gathered and journal memories in it as the photos are talked about and stories are remembered?

When I am documenting my memories, I love to capture everyday moments. A walk in the woods with my son, having coffee with a friend, having a snowball fight with my husband, or watching my sweet newborn nephew sleep.
Don’t let these moments pass you by. These are the moments that make up our lives. We couldn’t possibly celebrate BIG holiday’s everyday, but we can make the little moments the BIG ones.

Countryside Comfort is perfect for Thanksgiving table favours with the rich fall colours featured in both the traditional and digital collections.
I don’t just use my digital content for scrapbook pages. It can be incorporated into so many areas of my life! For today’s project I used digital content and traditional products to create table place cards for Thanksgiving dinner for our family.

A few weeks ago upon arriving home for work, I did what I normally do-check the mailbox (of course, hoping that I got that check from Ed McMahon and Publisher’s Clearing House). It wasn’t there, but our small local newspaper was.
The Sauk Rapids Herald.
I perused it, looking at the local police happenings (small town) and outcome of our beloved “Storm” sports teams.
As I was reading there was a certain article that struck a chord with me. I can relate to the thousands of undeveloped photographs in my phone, how about you?

Vellum is one of those incredible crafting mediums what when used properly can add so much to a simple layout or card. The trick with vellum is finding a way to adhere it to your project in a way that doesn’t show through the transparent paper. Once you’ve mastered the adhering, vellum can be used to add a layer of interest over a solid colour or pattern. Vellum is also great to use as a way of toning down, or muting a pattern so that either your photos or journaling can stand out and be the visual focus of the layout or card.
Let me show you some of my tricks as well as a layout and card that came together super quickly using vellum!

I love family time. It is the best warm and fuzzy feeling there is. I am sure that you have seen these family photos of mine on many projects, but let me share the story.
It was a fall day in 2011. My oldest son was a senior in high school. This mamma bear was on a mission to have fun family photos taken before the birdie left the nest. At this point my boys were so tired of me sticking a camera in their face, so I was feeling “iffy” about how the day might go.
To my surprise, it was the funnest day our family had had in a long time. We smiled, and laughed, and were just plain silly. So, if you have seen some of the silly ones—this is why. We actually got in the car to head home, and they both commented about how much FUN that photo shoot was.
So, find yourself a FUN-loving photographer who will let your family be yourselves—-and capture those memories…..before the nest is empty.

When I first saw this collection you could say I swooned just a tad over it. This color palette is my go-to. It is the colors that I use in decorating my house, and also what I have used predominantly in my scrapbooks over the years. You could say it is my comfort zone. So, most definitely, it was so easy for me to create with. It reminds me of snuggling up on the couch with a warm blanket and a good book. Comfort. It also reminds me of my grandmother and great-grandmother. The doily looking overlay on the paper, the birds, and the vintage clock in the stickers.

Summer is my favourite time of the year and I seem to wish the days away all spring to get to the cottage again! Morning coffee on the deck, lazy afternoons on the beach, snacks and refreshments on the boat and smores by the campfire are a few of the things we love. Oh yeah… and taking photos of all of these wonderful memories!
Slice of Summer Digital Kit is perfect for our memories at the lake! The colours and the embellishments work fantastic!

Who is your love bug? Maybe it might be your husband, your child, your niece or nephew, your grandchild….. whoever it is, this is the perfect layout to add their photos to.
Document the reasons why they are your “Love Bug”. Trust me, it will make them feel loved beyond measure!
Creating a simple, yet embellished layout does not have to be a lot of work. Cut several strips of paper the same length and width, and then a few flowers at the end of each and you are golden.

Hello everybody! Today, I am sharing a layout using the Royal Blue and Cranberry Mix & Match Designer Paper and Flower Embellishments. I know that the 4th of July has come and gone, but I love this photo too much to not scrap it.
The morning of the 4th of July, Edward and I arrived to my sister Jamie’s house to help her set up since she was hosting the 4th of July party. Naturally, she and I took a selfie as we poured ourselves a glass of Mimosa.
My sister texts Jamie after she see’s the selfie and was like, “what is she wearing!” (that would be me). We bought the same shirt at Target to wear and it totally wasn’t planned. She showed up an hour later with a different version of my shirt. Well, our shirt. LOL, she took a pair of scissors to make herself a v-neck and trimmed the edges of her sleeves. I am not sure why she just didn’t cut the shirt in half across the middle while she was at it, but we had a good laugh!
