On the last Monday of May, many Americans commemorate Memorial Day — an observance that was first established (then called Decoration Day) years after the Civil War, in 1868, as a time to decorate the graves of fallen soldiers with flowers. Fast forward to today, and people hold family gatherings, visit cemeteries or memorials and participate in red-white-and-blue parades. We salute to the military personnel who sacrificed their lives for our freedom with this Memorial Day scrapbook layout.
