Create A Campsite With These Tent Borders

Camping season is ready to set up, well, camp! Bring some of the outdoors to your scrapbooks with these tent borders. From trees and mountains to tents, keep reading to see how you can use the Tent & Tree Border Maker Cartridge to create nature-inspired borders to match all your outdoor adventures.

To create these borders you will need:

Escape to Nature Border

Tent cutout nature-themed scrapbooking border.

Step 1: Cut a 12″ x 2-3/4″ strip with plaid paper for the base. Cut a 12″ x 2″ strip with polka dots paper and adhere on the base. Cut a 12″ x 1-3/4″ strip with stars paper and mount on top.

Step 2: Using the Tent & Tree Border Maker Cartridge, punch two borders with Dark Sea Green Solid Cardstock. Trim out to 12″ x 1-1/2″. Using Micro-Tip Scissors, cut off the tents from both pieces. Flip one border to the reverse side, overlap the two borders and adhere on the border, giving you a continuous line of trees.

Step 3: Punch another border using the Tent & Tree Border Maker Cartridge with reeds paper. Trim to 12″ x 1-1/4″. Cut small pieces with Black Solid Cardstock and adhere behind the tent “flaps.” Mount the border on the layout. Cut a 12″ x 3/8″ strip with cabin paper and adhere on the border.

Step 4: Adhere embellishments, popping the title up with Foam Squares for dimension.


Happy Trails Border

Step 1: Cut a 12″ x 2-3/4″ strip with cabin paper for the base. Cut a 12″ x 1-1/4″ strip with polka dots paper and adhere on the base, 1/4″ from the top edge.

Step 2: Using the Tent & Tree Border Maker Cartridge, punch a border with Kelly Green Solid Cardstock. Trim to 12″ x 2″ and adhere on the border. Punch with scraps of Dark Sea Green, Cranberry and Island Waters Solid Cardstocks. Trim out the tents and adhere them over the green tents on the border.

Step 3: Cut a 12″ x 7/8″ strip with buffalo check and adhere on the border. Using the inside edge of the small Custom Cutting System Circle Pattern and the Blue Blade, cut a circle from Canary Solid Cardstock and discard. Shift the template over the cut-out circle shape and using the Red Blade, cut a crescent shape. Adhere the crescent moon on the border.

Step 4: Adhere the title sticker using Foam Squares. Add star stickers.


Life Is Better At The Lake Border

Step 1: Cut a 3-1/2″ x 12″ strip with cabin paper for the base. Cut a 3″ x 12″ strip with stars paper and adhere on the base.

Step 2: Using the Tent & Tree Border Maker Cartridge, punch borders with both Black and Dark Sea Green Solid Cardstocks, trimming to 12″ x 1-1/2″. Cut each border into 3″ sections. Punch a border with Kelly Green Solid Cardstock. Trim to 12″ x 1-3/4″. Cut the border into 3″ sections, then trim two of the sections to 1-1/2″. Flip the dark sea green sections to the reverse side. Layer and adhere black, then dark sea green, then kelly green sections as shown. Adhere the two layered pieces with the 1-1/2″ kelly green sections on the top and bottom of the border. Adhere a layered piece with a 1-3/4″ kelly green section in the middle.

Step 3: Cut two 3″ x 1-1/4″ pieces with animals paper and adhere between the layered sections. Cut four 1/4″ x 3″ strips with plaid paper and adhere as shown.

Step 4: Adhere the embellishment and sticker on the middle layered section, popping the title up with Foam Squares for dimension.


Take A Hike Border

Step 1: Using the Snow Capped Mountains Border Punch, punch a border with Dark Sea Green Solid Cardstock. Trim to 12″ x 3″ to create the base.

Step 2: Cut 1″ strips with both Kelly Green and Canary Solid Cardstocks. Trim to 2-1/2″ lengths. Cut a 12″ x 2-1/2″ strip with scrap paper or cardstock. Adhere the green and canary strips across the length of the strip, starting with green and alternating colors. Place the strip in the Original Border Maker System paper tray with the green strip at the top. Using the Tent & Tree Border Maker Cartridge, punch along the length of the strip. The trees should be green and the tents should be canary! Adhere the strip on the mountains base, 1/4″ from the bottom edge.

Step 3: Cut a 12″ x 1″ strip with cabin paper. Cut a 12″ x 3/4″ strip with plaid paper and adhere on top. Using Micro-Tip Scissors, cut a “V” shape in each short end. Adhere on the border.

Step 4: Adhere embellishments and stickers, popping up the backpack title using Foam Squares for dimension.
