Feast On Your Blessings With This Fall Scrapbook Layout
It’s time for roasted turkey, buttery mashed potatoes, fresh green bean casserole, tasty stuffing (or dressing, depending on your family tradition!), delectable gravy, perfectly spiced pumpkin pies, tart cranberry sauce… and an attitude of gratitude! The U.S. Thanksgiving holiday is here and Product Development Creative Manager Noreen Smith is dishing up a fall scrapbook layout to relay what you’re most thankful and appreciative for.
Noreen: “Although I love getting lots of photos onto a layout, sometimes I like to highlight one special family photo. This one was taken on the rooftop terrace of the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal this fall when our son Grayson was given a clean bill of health after a grueling back surgery and recuperation. He was so excited to be given the go ahead to resume doing all the things he loves, and our whole family was relieved and grateful for the positive outcome. This photo captures that moment perfectly and I only need the one photo to remember how grateful I am.”
Feast on this blessings beauty for yourself!

Step 1: Use a piece of the kraft word art paper as the base for your layout.
Step 2: Cut a wreath from from Hot Fudge Solid Cardstock. Place cardstock on 13×13 Custom Cutting System Mat and place the Jumbo Circle Custom Cutting System Pattern on it. First, cut out the inside circle using the Red Blade on the inside edge of the pattern and then cut the outside with the Red Blade on the outside edge. Add a contrasting paper to the backside of the wreath if desired. Align and adhere on base page.
Step 3: Use the Autumn Leaves Border Punch to punch several strips of leaves from the red apples and orange pumpkin outline papers and the shimmer papers and cardstock. Use Micro-Tip Scissors to cut small sections and individual leaves from the border strips.
Step 4: Arrange leaves around the wreath form, alternating hues and shapes of leaves and layering and overlapping them to form the wreath. Use Foam Squares to adhere some of them for added dimension and depth.
Step 5: Cut a 7-1/4” x 5-1/4” mat from the brown woodgrain paper and a 7-1/2” x 5-1/2” mat from the red apples paper. Mount a 7” x 5” photo on top of these and add a self-adhesive Kraft Photo Corner to the four corners of the photo. Use Foam Squares to adhere the photo in the middle of the wreath on a slight diagonal for added dimension.
Step 6: Cut a lined variety mat card into two 2-1/2” x 4” pieces. Adhere a 2-1/2” x 1” strip of a patterned paper across the top of each card, then punch the top edge of each card with the 3-in-1 Bevel Tag Punch. Journal on the on tags with the Brown Dual-Tip Pen and then arrange the tags to slightly overlap each other, the photo and the bottom edge of the wreath. Adhere with Foam Squares for added dimension.
Step 7: Add two word/title stickers as shown, embellishing with more hand-cut leaves.
Step 8: Finish the layout by drawing details on some of the leaves and adding dots of various sizes to the base page with the Gold Metallic Dot Tip Pen.
What are you grateful for this year? Will you piece together this fall scrapbook layout with a wreath design after the bountiful meal and great conversations subsides?
Happy Thanksgiving, scrappers!
