In this post, you will find ALL four sketches for this crop (these four sketches are for the entire weekend; no additional sketches will be posted), a downloadable PDF with the four sketches for your convenience, hashtags to use when posting your challenge layouts in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group, prize information and layout inspiration. This is about to be an amazing weekend and we can’t wait to see what you create!
To ensure we see all your submissions for a chance to win, you’ll want to post each layout you complete as its own new post with the hashtag for that challenge. You have until Tuesday, July 16, at 11:59pm CT (AU: Wednesday, 17 July, at 2:59pm AET) to submit your layouts for the chance to win a prize (more details on what you can win further down this post!). We will award the prizes randomly, but to win, it must be evident you used the sketch we provided as inspiration to create a project using predominantly Creative Memories products. You have until Tuesday, July 16, at 11:59pm CT (AU: Wednesday, 17 July, at 2:59pm AET) to submit your layout(s). Prize winners will be announced on Thursday, July 18, at noon CT (AU: Friday, 19 July).
Challenge #1
Collection Used: Purrr-fect Kitty Cat (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
Noreen’s Tip: “Easy pattern-mixing technique: Use a multi-colored pattern for your base page and then use the tonal papers in the same colors for the layering pieces, banners and photo mats. The subtle patterns in the tonal papers will still provide visual interest and will mix with the bolder pattern beautifully!”
Challenge #2
Collection Used: Go Fetch (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
Noreen’s Tip: “The circles in this sketch provide the perfect building spots for embellishment clusters. Don’t be afraid to let some embellishments overlap the edges of the circles to connect to the page!”
Challenge #3
Collection Used: Coastal Shore (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
Noreen’s Tip: “Who said squares were boring? Why not turn them into semaphore flags, quilt blocks or other patterns to add interest? Bold borders and a striped paper that draws your eye across the page are all you need to complete this layout! (Note: Semaphore flag patterns are not 100% accurate — artistic liberty was taken!)”
Challenge #4
Collection Used: Canadian Scenes (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)
Noreen’s Tip: “Like Layout 2, the circles provide ideal bases for titles, embellishments and journaling. Adding two more circles for the photo spots creates a path of circles for the eye to follow throughout the layout, literally ‘bouncing’ from one circle to the next! Simple layered borders on each side keep the circles in check with the strong vertical element.”

Color in one shutter for each sketch challenge you complete during each monthly Virtual Crop in 2024. Once you’ve completed all 12 months’ sketch challenges (that’s 56 completed pages you’ll be adding to your albums), share a photo of your colored-in page with the hashtag #2024VCChamp in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group for the chance to be one of three Grand Prize winners!
