“Hello friends, I have been a memory keeper for 25 years! I have been a Creative Memories Advisor since March 2024. I just love creating beautiful pages with CM designer papers and amazing tools. Let’s go record some stories.”  —Kimberly Sparks

Created by Kimberly Sparks – Creative Memories AdvisorUnited States

Kimberly’s Tip: “To make the smaller flower, use the Blue Blade on the inside of the 3″ x 3-1/2″ oval to cut petals. I cut six. You can vary the size and number to fit your project. Repeat for larger flowers using either Green or Red Blades. Pinch to shape, add adhesive to the bottom tip and overlay to make a flower. Finish off with a sticker from a coordinating sticker sheet.”

Collection Used: Wonderful Day

“When I was in my early twenties my mom was invited to a CM event. She fell in love with scrapbooking and became an Advisor. I’ve been scrapbooking right along side her ever since and just became an Advisor myself in 2019. The pandemic pushed me to do more with my CM business. I am grateful to be able to spend my time hosting CM events to bring scrapbookers together. Making memories as we scrapbook memories!”  —Renee Hellmuth

Renee’s Tip: “Always take a look at the remnants from punches to see if they can be incorporated in your layouts. I used the top remnant from the Garland Banner Border Punch as a tab. Clusters of embellishments look best in odd numbers and the tab was the subtle addition I wanted.

The Zero Centering Ruler is my “go-to” tool. It is the fastest way to be sure your photos are straight and evenly spaced.

“I love what I do and do what I love every day! Scrapbooking is on the top of this list! 1999 is when I began my forever career with Creative Memories! I have met so many lifelong friends along the way.” —Sherry Lewin

Sherry’s Tips:

  • Turn any sticker into an embellishment by gently rubbing the stickiness off the sticker with a fabric softener sheet.”
  • Make your page interactive by adding a Peekaboo Pocket to get in more photos.”
  • Trim down a 12” decorative border to fit the space and use extras for a cluster to add interest.”
  • Layer up a sticker border by placing the autumn leaf border beneath it.”

Collection Used: Autumn Cottage

“I love cross-country skiing, hiking, photography, football and any time I get with my very busy teenage daughter and son. When I am not outside, you can find me behind a camera photographing my son’s basketball and football games, all of which I scrapbook of course! I started scrapbooking more than 20 years ago, and although my styles have changed over the years, my love for the hobby has not. I re-joined Creative Memories during the pandemic to help pass the time when we were all stuck at home. Although it is not my full time job, it has afforded me the luxury of being able to share my love of scrapbooking with others and spend time with some pretty amazing ladies!” —Jocelyn Ouellet

Jocelyn’s Tips: “If you are like me and only ever do double-page layouts and tend to struggle with the single-layout sketches, well, fret no more. A simple solution to this is to make two of the same sketch or simply turn the sketch. On the left page, I followed the sketch; on the right page, I simply turned the sketch 90 degrees. Then, I put the two single page layouts together. Single-page layout or double-page layout, it is your choice and the options are endless!”

Raelene McKenzie found Creative Memories in 2000 at a trade show and was instantly amazed at what her photo albums could look like and was convinced that this was definitely for her family. With three of her four children already teenagers, she decided to create them albums documenting the 18 years of their lives. Raelene is so happy she rejoined in 2020 during COVID-19 because it has changed her life for the better. Making new friends, creating wonderful albums for her seven beautiful grandies and then starting up her business while kicking goals to qualify for the CM trip to Mexico has been AWESOME!

Raelene’s Tip: “I love having NO clean up by using my silicone mat with the Repositionable Tape Runner. Best buy ever! Cutting a 2″ L shape allowed me to cut mats for my photos, making the most of the beautiful papers.”

Collection Used: Revved Up!

Fiona Grinham has been scrapbooking for 20 years, beginning by making a photographic record of life on a small farm. This expanded to include weddings and then grandchildren, as well as heritage albums. For her, the CM community, virtual and in-person crops have converted a hobby into a lifestyle! She now holds regular crops and classes at her home.

Fiona’s Tip:
“Cutting a ‘Half Frame’
Option: Pre-cut a border using a knockout-style Border System Cartridge

1) Cut a half frame from the 1-1/2″ mark to the edge of the paper on two sides to make an ‘L’ piece.

2) Flip it to make a contrast to the main piece of layout.”

“Creating photo albums is simply enjoyable! The time spent selecting photos, choosing paper and layouts, and, most importantly, chatting with friends while creating — it’s so much fun. When the finished pages bring joy to my family, it inspires me to go out and take more photos, to strive for those moments worth capturing. This positive cycle makes me truly happy. I look forward to continuing to enjoy creating photo albums with everyone.” —Saiko Tagami

  1. Can prizes be distributed according to customer/advisor status. I am a customer and do not think it is fair that I am in the same pot as your thousands of advisors

  2. I wasn’t home the weekend of the crop so I’m getting to this late, but I could SWEAR the examples for Sample Sketches 6 & 7 are reversed. Sketch #6 has the L shaped background, 2 photos and one circle photo that are featured in the sample challenge sketches for #7 by Raelene McKenzie and Fiona Grinham. And the sample sketches for #6 look more like Challenge #7. Very confusing!

    • I agree, they are mislabeled. So if any of us print the pdf’s out – make a note on your paper/pdf comment re: which layout examples you like go with what Sketch #.
