December Completed Album Challenge PLUS A Vacay-inspired Scrapbook Layout

Who else is finishing the year off right with another completed album? Show off your hard work during the December Completed Album Challenge starting tonight in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group. Need some inspiration to get those final few pages done? Check out this Sun-Soaked scrapbook layout below — perfect for reminiscing about the warmer weather!

If you completed an album this month (does not need to be from start to finish in December, just completed in December), make a short video flipping through each of the pages in your newly completed album. Then, post your video in the Virtual Crop Facebook Group with the hashtag #CompletedDecember2024 for the chance to win!

Here’s an example of what your Completed Album Challenge video could look like!

Layout by Melissa Ullmann — CM Independent Advisor

To create this layout you will need:

Step 1: Use Tangerine Solid Cardstock for the base of the layout.

Step 2: Cut a piece of waves paper to measure 12” x 6-1/2”. Adhere to the lower portion of the layout.

Step 3: Cut two strips of geo-tropical leaves paper to measure ¾” x 5-1/2”. Adhere along the outside edges of the cardstock.

Step 4: Cut two strips of geo sunshine paper to measure ¾” x 6-1/2”. Adhere to the outside edges of the waves paper.

Step 5: Using tropical leaves paper cut two photo mats that measure (1) 3-3/4” x 5-3/4” and (1) 5-3/4” x 3-3/4”. Adhere to the waves paper on the bottom portion of the layout.

Step 5: Adhere photos that measure (1) 3-1/2” x 5-1/2” and (1) 5-1/2” x 3-1/2”.

Step 6: Create surfboards by folding a piece of paper with a minimum of 2” in width when folded. Place the folded edge along the 6” vertical line on the 13” Mat. Then use the 4” x 6” Oval from the Oval Custom Cutting System Patterns with the Red Blade. Place the feet of the oval on the second set of grids to the right of the 6” vertical line. Then cut on the outside edge with the Red Blade. Open up and decorate each board with strips of paper, chevrons or stickers.

Step 7: Adhere the surfboards to the layout, popping every other one up on Foam Squares or Foam Tape.

Step 8: Layer and adhere the bubbles and fish sticker borders to the layout over the base of the boards.

Step 9: Adhere Write On! Stickers to the layout for journaling. Journal as desired.

Step 10: Adhere additional stickers, using Foam Squares on some for added dimension.
