Challenge #1

Layout by Noreen S. — Creative Memories Home Office

Collection Used: Noteworthy Days (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Noreen’s Tip:  “The Noteworthy Days collection truly has something that works for every month and occasion throughout the year! I love that I can change up the look by featuring different colors and using different tools. Here I used various shades of blue, green and brown together with the Square Link Chain Border Maker Cartridge to create a masculine layout for photos of the world’s best dad! Using both sides of the blue and brown tone-on-tone paper and turning up the corners to reveal the opposite color creates connection between the pieces, and the Father’s Day themed stickers from the Noteworthy Days sticker pack finish off the layout perfectly!”

Challenge #2

Layout by Melissa U. — Creative Memories Design Team

Collection Used: Deeper In The Woods (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Melissa’s Tip: “The diagonals might look tricky, but it’s actually super simple — you only need to cut four strips! Cut four 2×8 pieces of designer paper you love, especially ones with contrast. Sandwich two of the ‘like’ sides together and cut corner to corner — diagonally from the top right to bottom left. Now do the same thing with the other two, this time from the top left to bottom right. You’ll end up with eight angled pieces that fit together perfectly!”

Challenge #3

Layout by Melissa U. — Creative Memories Design Team

Collection Used: Desert Scenes (SNEAK PEEK!)

Melissa’s Tip: “Border punches are such a great tool — and they’re perfect for this sketch! I used the new punch from the Desert Scenes collection, but you can use any edge-style punch you like. Just punch along both the top and bottom of your cardstock, then cut it into 3.5″ panels and trim them to 5.5″ tall, starting at the top edge of the design. Line them up and stagger them slightly for a fun layered effect. You can rotate this layout to suit your papers or photos, and every version feels fresh and different.”

Challenge #4

Layout by Melissa U. — Creative Memories Design Team

Collection Used: Legacy of Love (Shop Canada | Shop Australia)

Melissa’s Tip: “This layout was SO fun to make — it brings together bold circles and a layered border that really ties everything together. For the circles, I used the Custom Cutting System on the inside track of the large circle template: red blade for the mat, blue blade for the photo. It’s a super simple way to get perfectly layered circles that make your photos pop!

Now let’s talk about that border — this is where you can get creative. I used the Geometric Gems Chain BMC, but any chain-style design will work. Just punch three 11-3/4″ borders and cut four coordinating half-inch strips of paper. Then, weave the strips over and under the chain — it adds texture and movement without overwhelming the layout. I finished it with a die-cut border for a clean edge, but you could use a sticker or punch something fun to frame it in. And if you’re looking for a place to journal, lined paper (like the one from Legacy of Love) fits perfectly along the side. It’s such a satisfying layout once it all comes together!”
