Creative Gift Guide: The Hostess
The holidays are full of moments that bring people together. Whether it’s around the table, in the kitchen, or during small, everyday interactions, these moments often become the memories we treasure most. That’s why we’ve started our Holiday Gift Guide Series, to help you find thoughtful gifts that inspire creativity and capture the moments that matter with a little guidance from Home Office!
Each week leading up to the holidays, a member of the Creative Memories team shares what they are treating themselves to and the meaningful gifts they are picking out for loved ones. From practical essentials to creative kits that spark new ideas, these guides are here to make holiday shopping easier, more inspired, and full of lasting impact.
This week’s gift guide comes from Sheila Conlon, from Home Office, who feels lucky to have so many people in her life who make the holidays feel special. She is sharing the gifts she has chosen for the people who bring joy to her season, including a few thoughtful picks for the hostesses in her life, as well as treats for her own family to encourage creativity and connection.

Some words from Sheila:
I feel lucky to have so many people in my life who make the holidays feel special. The friends and family who open their homes and hearts each year create the moments that make this season memorable. I love that memory keeping gives them a way to capture these times, celebrate the traditions they start, and share those memories with the people they care about. This year, I’m excited to give gifts that help them keep creating and preserving those special moments.
This year, I’m gifting a few Creative Memories kits that I know will be useful and rewarding for the hostesses in my life. The Cooked With Love Kit is ideal for my mother-in-law, who loves sharing her favorite recipes and the stories behind them. It has everything she needs to preserve the dishes that bring everyone together. The Burst of Gratitude Card Kit is perfect for my husband’s grandmother, who loves sending thank-you notes and sharing her appreciation. I’m excited to assemble the cards with her, turning it into a fun activity and a meaningful way to share her thoughts with friends and family.
I’m also picking up the Pen Pal Kit for my kids. It’s a creative way for them to connect with grandparents and loved ones while turning those connections into keepsakes. What I love most about these kits is how they help capture the moments that truly matter during the season. Whether it’s recording a cherished recipe, sending a thoughtful note, or inspiring my kids to reach out to the people who matter most, these gifts make memory keeping easy, personal, and memorable.
