When it comes to scrapbooking, shopping for new products is almost as fun as the art of cropping itself. We all love getting new stuff, and when that new stuff happens to be supplies for a hobby we’re passionate about, the emotions escalate – it can be intense! However, shopping for new scrapbooking supplies isn’t all fun and games. There are a lot of different emotions you can go through during the ordering process, and since July 17 is World Emoji Day, we’ve decided to showcase those emotions using emojis! Take a look below.

Curiosity
What’s this? You’ve just logged onto the Creative Memories® website and you’re greeted with an exciting array of images of fun new products! These images grab your attention, of course, as you let your curiosity take control and click on the “What’s New” button. Little do you know, your life is about to change…

Love at First Sight
Immediately as the page loads, you could swear “At Last” by Etta James starts playing in the background. You may not believe in love at first sight, but once you lay eyes on these products, you find yourself believing in instant infatuation. How did you ever settle for any other scrapbooking products when “the one” was out there all along? Everything else in life seems so insignificant now — all that matters is you ending up with these products in your crafting room.

Excitement
Once the initial desire wears off, your mind begins to race. You think of all the different possibilities and opportunities these new products offer. Oh the layouts and projects you could make with these beauties at your fingertips! Honestly, you could go on looking at them for hours but the time has come to take action and get these products in your life.

Indecisiveness
As it turns out, taking action is easier said than done. It was only a few minutes ago you felt certain about the products you want, but now that it’s go-time, you’re not so sure. Your mind is buzzing with questions: What products go best with my albums? Which ones will I use the most? Do I have photos that will look good on these pages? This onslaught can leave you feeling numb as you blankly stare at your computer screen.

Decision Time
Okay, no more flip-flopping. You take some time to think about what your albums need and decide on the products you want. With the speed and precision of a surgeon, you start clicking from page to page, adding an assortment of items to your cart. Once it’s filled to the brim, you complete your purchase and move into the toughest step of the entire process.

Impatience
It’s time to play the waiting game, which can be excruciatingly difficult when you’re excited. In the Internet age of instant gratification, having to wait for a package seems like the ultimate test of patience. Days can start to feel like weeks, and while it may be tempting to sit on your front porch and wait for the mail carrier every day, the best way to combat this antsy feeling is to keep your mind active. There are plenty of ways you can do this — browse Pinterest to get some layout ideas, read a few blog posts relating to products on their way or spend the hours creating beautiful spreads with the CM products you already have! No matter how you fill your time, each passing second brings you closer to having new products in your hands.

Joy
And when the day comes that those products arrive, you can hardly make it to your craft room before ripping into the package like a kid on Christmas morning. As you display the contents on the table, you’re instantly hit with jubilation as you fully grasp the magnitude of possibilities these products bring to your crafting game. It won’t be long before you dive into the first project!
Ordering new scrapbook products can be an emotional roller coaster. There will be plenty of ups and downs along the way but the end result is always something that you’re happy with. Which stage do you relate to the most? Comment below!
Joy on seeing that box come!
😂
I relate most to the love at first sight, I am always falling in love with the punches and tools. There is another emoji that you could consider, the surprise when you find out how much you have spend. LOL!
PERFECT way to celebrate Emoji Day!! Thanks CM!!
These are great!! And tell the story so well and accurately! :)
Definitely decision time. It’s hard. I want everything
This made me smile ~ thank you
very clever!
In my case there is this stage too, which fits in just after the decision is made in what I want to buy (and usually because it’s everything) 🤯🤯🤯🤯 – that’s my credit card self destructing 😂😂😂🤪🤪🤪🤔🤔🤔 – love this!!!
I enjoy the emojis! I often become stuck on the decision making. There is so much to choose & deciding exactly what my album will look like. In the end it always works.
I have to disagree with the impatience emoji a little. I’m always impressed at how quickly the merchandise arrives! Not Amazon, but pretty darn quick!
