Shades Meet Style with these Rainbow Scrapbook Borders

To create these scrapbook borders you’ll need:

Awesome Border:

Step 1: Cut a piece of blue patterned paper to measure 12″ x 2-1/2″. This is the base of the border.

Step 2: Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 12″ x 2-1/4″.

Step 3: Using the Basketweave Border Punch, punch out borders from six different shades of paper. Adhere them to the top of the cardstock at an angle using the Tape Runner and Repositionable adhesive. Trim any excess along the edge of the border. Adhere this piece along the top edge of the to the blue patterned paper.

Step 4: Adhere stickers and embellishments, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

Smile Border:

Step 1: Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 12″ x 2-1/4″. This is the base of the border.

Step 2: Cut a piece of yellow patterned paper to measure 12″ x 2″ and adhere it to the cardstock.

Step 3: Using the Basketweave Border Punch, punch a border from green patterned paper. Adhere it to the yellow paper using the Tape Runner and Repositionable adhesive.

Step 4: Adhere stickers and embellishments, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

Be Your Beautiful Self Border:

Step 1: Cut a piece of yellow patterned paper to measure 12″ x 2-1/4″. This is the base for the border.

Step 2: Cut a piece of White Cardstock to measure 12″ x 2″.

Step 3: Using the Basketweave Border Punch, punch two borders from the orange patterned paper and two borders from the dark blue patterned paper. Using the Tape Runner and Repositionable adhesive, adhere the orange patterned borders slightly offset to the dark blue patterned borders. Cut each in half lengthwise and adhere them along the edges of the cardstock.

Step 4: Cut a strip from the plaid paper to measure 12″ x 1/4″ and adhere it down the middle of the cardstock.

Step 5: Adhere stickers and embellishments, popping some up with Foam Squares for added dimension.

  1. Made this border but in following the instructions I am not getting the solid deep blue showing in the photo. the basket weave design is what show. Is there a step missing or am I not understanding the instructions correctly? Thanks! So pretty on the website and I just want it to look like the picture.

    1. A customer and I had the same issue tonight and we think there is a typo…for the last border you should use Navy cardstock, not white. Navy cardstock is listed in the necessary supplies but not mentioned anywhere else.
